RACHANA PALACE — Hotel in Karnataka

My recent stay was a night mare at Rachana boarding and lodging. First of all these are not seperate rooms like normal hotels, those were 2-3 BHK houses converted to rooms and your neighbours may be local family staying in their house and making a lot of noise. Some rooms having common bathrooms bcoz we all know nobody will build 3bhk with 3 rooms having attached bathroom.

We booked for 3 people in one room and there was hardly any space left between extra mattress and bed, moreover the bathroom was shared. We tiptoed in the room whole time and the blanket given for extra bed was thinner than bedsheet used to cover bed. First 3guys were given a room in one of the 2bhk house and 2girls in one the 3bhk with a shared bathroom and they were going to allocate the other rooms to a group of 5guys who would also be using same bathroom.They agreed to change room for girls after a lot of argument and angry faces.

The plastic cover from beds not removed, so whole night the bed kept becoming hot and making noise even if u move an inch. Then ordering room service was another big mistake. Food was ready for 30min but hotel was waiting for us go and give them money to pick up food from restaurant.

There was also frequent power cuts too. Drinking water was not provided. Bringing half of the food we ordered once and then saying they had forgot to order other half, when the entire order was given in writing. Did expect Oyo to partner with such shabby places. Total waste money and peace of mind. Hope this will help to stop other people from suffering what...

Hotel Rachana Boarding is located at the end of the city. When we have booked a room in this hotel through OYO Rooms @50% discount, after arriving the hotel, Management has refused our booking on the price provided by OYO, demanded for extra amount, we have contacted the OYO customer care for assistance, inspite of confirming the earlier booking they have rebooked the same room as per the hotel Management demand, OYO also not helped us.

Rrviews about Hotel: More than the staff and customers in the hotel we got to see Mosquito's, when we have requested for All-out Management said we don't have it. In the reception they have placed a nice Quote saying Enjoy the Non smoke and Non alcoholic environment, but we found some used cigarettes near the room in side the hotel. We have got the room in the fourth floor after boarding they have stopped the lift saying it is in maintenance which leads that we have enjoyed carrying our 50-60kgs of luggage......

Situated at Surathkal... Overall it was good. It was just beside Sai Suraj International. The price is a bit high .Both Veg & Non Veg available. All modes of payment accepted here.
