Suratkal Beach is a beautiful and serene beach located near Mangalore city in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. As someone who has visited the beach multiple times, I can say that it is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque getaway.
One of the things that sets Suratkal Beach apart from other beaches in the area is its clean and well-maintained environment. The sand is pristine and the water is crystal clear, making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is also relatively less crowded, which makes it a great place to relax and unwind.
Another highlight of Suratkal Beach is the stunning view of the sunset. The orange and red hues that spread across the sky during sunset are truly a sight to behold. It's an excellent place to take photographs, and the view is even more breathtaking during the monsoon season.
The beach is also a popular spot for surfing, and many surfing competitions are held here throughout the year. Watching the surfers ride the waves is a thrilling experience, and it's an excellent opportunity for visitors to try their hand at surfing too.
One thing to note is that there are not many food options available near the beach, so visitors may want to carry their own food and drinks. However, there are a few small vendors selling snacks and drinks on the beach.
Overall, Suratkal Beach is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit. It's a great place to relax, unwind, and take in the stunning natural beauty of the...
Read moreThis spot is straight out of a travel magazine. It’s gorgeous with the perfect waves crashing on the shore. Surathkal Beach sunsets are absolutely breathtaking! There's something magical about watching the sun slowly dip below the horizon and seeing the sky turn into a beautiful blend of oranges, pinks, and purples. It's a moment of peace and tranquility that everyone should experience at least once. Here the Sand is fine grain and it’s a great spot to relax. That said, do not swim. Do not have your kids play in the waves either. The break causes some strong waves to crash on the beach and it can cause injury and at times has a strong current that can drag you out. It’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Mangalore, but if you want to swim there are a ton of options besides this beach. We had to come here to see this beautiful beach, there are no lifeguards there and i can tell you that the beach is very user friendly, that it doesn’t breaks necks and backs! We listened for sure, the surf was unreal here, it was so strong and so big, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t listen and just watch or stand on the edge! Even standing at the edge where the water comes in you can feel the strength and current as the sand washes out from under your feet. It was so beautiful there! We saw red cardinals on the patch leading down to the beach, it was magical! Highly recommend checking out this beach! Loved it! It has the...
