Experience in 2025 in room 201: All the pros remain the same and I am glad to say that they have maintained most the pro points after 1yr. Adding to this most of the things have changed and I am glad to say hotel staffs have taken most of the feedback and have changed a lot.
The rest of the other cons still remain the same:
Phones are provided at room but no proper details on which numbers to dial for reception or restaurant.
No safe lockers provided in the room.

This was my previous experience in 2024: I stayed in this hotel in room no. 204 for 2 nights and this was booed through MMT.
Pros: Starting off with the location, It's in the center of kundapura and it is easy to take off to other locations Rooms are kept very clean after the new management has taken over ..towels, water and toiletries were provided. Bathrooms are also very clean and bathrooms are equipped with some very nice fittings and looks plush. 247 hot water facility is provided. Lighting is very ambient which helped me to relax. Bedspreads are clean and beds are very comfy. Very cost effective.
Cons: This place lacks in few things AC is kind of centralized so cooling is not efficient. While Ac is running, fans should be at full blast to cool down the room. This place has a restaurant and they serve only dinner and lunch. Hence no breakfast or even tea coffee is available here. Menus are not shared in Rooms which means we cannot order anything to room and eat. Phones are provided at room but no proper details on which numbers to dial for reception or restaurant. Coming to the last bit, As per many ppls reviews, even I felt staffs at reception are always grumpy not sure why...they don't answer questions properly or they don't communicate well and due to which, I felt a bit bad on 1st days but later I moved on with other go stuffs here

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I booked a room and paid an advance amount to confirm it. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, I had to cancel the booking just three hours later. I informed the hotel immediately and requested a refund of my advance payment.
Initially, they said they would check with their accounts team regarding the possibility of a refund. Since then, I’ve had to follow up multiple times — calling several times over the following days — but all I received were vague responses and promises to “check and update.” No one got back to me with any clear information, and to date, I have not received my refund or even an explanation.

Regarding safety measures we had a very bad experience in this hotel. They placed carpets on the stairs at the entrance, and one of my family members slipped there, hitting their head and sustaining a severe injury. Tragically, despite all efforts, we could not save her, and we lost her due to this serious injury.
Additionally, handrails were present but could not be used because plant pots were placed nearby and far from the door entrance, leaving people with no support while using the stairs. There was also AC water on the floor, making the area even more slippery. Keeping carpets on the stairs further increased the risk.
