Horrible experience at the reception. Lady at the reception seems not to understand how the online booking works. We booked two rooms with six guests so their official booking website allows to book the room with guests per room so our case was 2 rooms with 3 guests in each room. Anybody would understand it is booked for 6 guests. But the oversmart lady at the reception said no I have booked 2 rooms for 3 guests and kept arguing that the way I have booked is wrong and also she said for two non-ac delux rooms which can accommodate upto 3 guests price which I booked is too less. I did show her the exact steps how I have booked the rooms and tried explaining its not of my concern when the website form says guests per room and she can view it as 3 guests 2 rooms. Price with taxes when I booked for first time was 3.7k for two rooms in total. But she still couldn’t understand inspite of explaining in Kannada and English. In return she was ready for ugly argument and made faces which was really unprofessional and unpleasant. As we were with kid and old person, we didn’t want to search for another hotel, hence for the oversmart lady sake I had to cancel the booked room and rebook each room with 3 guests separately so that she can understand how to view the booking for two rooms. Funny part was, it costed together 3.6k and she didn’t feel that to be less now. Also they get mad for using UPI payments for small amounts and cry for cash. Whole India, even street side vendors are using UPI payments but these people don’t want money to go to their bank account and have all recorded. Rooms were average, but rooms service people and restaurant people were really sweet. They were the only nice people we could see there. It’s a 3 star restaurant according to Google but the people at the reception make it feel like the worst hotel and make sure not to book...
Read moreI was there for a three day program in Udupi and got a good deal by booking Online through the Hotel's own website. Reached around 10 in the morning and got checked in. Enquired about availability of Dinner and got to know that, it is available. After my daily programs, went for dinner around 9:30 and reached a restaurant with dark atmosphere. Later only I got to know that it was a Bar attached restaurant and even couples, families and friends gangs sitting next our table are enjoying their favorite drinks. I was suffocating from the smell of such liquids and really wanted to get out of the place. In the meantime we ordered food and since we already had some snacks in the evening, didn't want to have a heavy dinner. And the food items were retailed at hefty prices too. After waiting for half an hour or so for the Aloo Paratha I have ordered for, it was seen that the a new customer just in front of our table is seen served with their ordered food and liquor in just 5 minutes. This made me angry and we went out of the restaurant after cancelling the order. Next day morning we went the restaurant for the complimentary breakfast, nothing fancy to talk about, no continental cuisine and all. Will simply deliver what we order for. We ordered for Masala Dosa, Poori and Vada along with tea. Food was awesome to say. Apart from the previous day restaurant experience during dinner time, everything...
Read moreBeen here with friends. The place is on the highway away from the hustle bustle of the city. Ample parking space available. The restaurant itself has undergone changes since we visited here last time. The square table have been replaced with circular ones. This ensures that the group is in a huddle. There is a bar attached to the restaurant too. Coming to the food, we ordered a mix of veg and non veg starting with tomato and chicken manchoew soup along with masala papad. The tomato soup was creamy while the manchow had lot of greens and chicken. However the masala papad turned out bland in comparison to the soups. For the starter, we had chicken ghee roast, chicken spring roll, chicken fry and veg spring roll. The veg spring roll tasted excellent. The chicken ghee roast was the stand out on the other side of the table while none complained about other stuff. For the main course, it was chicken fried rice, veg fried rice and parota. The veg fried rice was normal fare, but the parota turned out to be star with chicken and veg hyderabadi. Finally we wrapped up with fresh lime soda. The service was great and the waiters were helpful from the moment we stepped in till we left. I will recommend this place if you are in...
