Zero stars if possible. This was the worst stay of my life.
Long story short: We booked a 2BHK large directly and paid ₹2,000 as an advance eight days before our arrival. However, when we reached the property, they claimed the rooms were unavailable and instead offered us two 1BHKs, which were in horrible condition—dirty and completely unlivable.
I usually don’t like to badmouth a business, but I don’t want any other family to go through what mine did.
Long story: We called and confirmed the booking before making a direct reservation with an advance payment. However, upon arrival, they refused to honor the booking, claiming that all rooms were allocated through online reservations.
They offered us two 1BHKs instead and charged us ₹400 extra, bringing the total to ₹6,000. The condition of these rooms was appalling The floors were covered in lizard feces. Ants were everywhere. Flies filled the rooms. The bedsheets were stained. The showers didn’t work, and there were no buckets in the bathrooms.
After complaining, they reluctantly gave us another room and cleaned it—but this wasted two hours of our time because they made me wait. Even after cleaning, the ants were still everywhere.
When we asked for extra beds, they brought a cheap ₹200 mattress and carelessly threw it on the floor, where ants were still crawling. They didn’t even bother to lay it out properly with bed sheets. They placed a sheet on only one mattress and told us to do the rest ourselves before walking away. They don't even know the difference between a bed and mattress. Because i was expecting a folding bed like other decent facilities.
I desperately tried to find another hotel, but since it was peak season, everything was fully booked. I had no choice but to sleep on that filthy floor, surrounded by ants. To make things worse, the AC in one room wasn’t working—it was stuck at 30°C. After a while, I stopped complaining because it was pointless.
If any decent hotel had availability, I would have checked out immediately, even if it was late at night. We were seven people, including three elderly parents (above 60) and a child under 3 years old. I still can’t believe we had to endure that nightmare.
Despite all these issues, they refused to reduce the price and charged us the full ₹6,000. Fo me this wasn’t about the money—it was about basic decency and professionalism.
I’ve stayed in budget hotels in Mookambika in the past, where even ₹800 rooms felt like five-star hotels compared to this place. We usually stay at Hotel Mahalakshmi, which has always been great, but unfortunately, they had no rooms available this time.
The staff tried to help, but there’s only so much they could do in such a terrible environment. Their attitude was a mix of greed and laziness, except for a young worker named Praveen, who at least made some effort.
Avoid this place...
Read moreThis is a good hotel apartment for the price we pay. It's situated 500m from the temple. I dont recommend walking to the temple especially at night and rainy times as we will get frustrated due the puddles on the way. It's situated right to sowparnika river. The apartment itself had a common bathroom and one attached bathroom with two bedrooms and a hall and a kitchen. Kitchen had a kettle, but there were no tea bags or milk powder. The bathroom was neat. There is balcony for each bedroom, which appears to be useless as the scene from those are not worth. Our balcony was covered with a green sheet which obstructed the view anyways, which we think was put to defend monkeys from getting to the balcony. There are lot of monkeys that we can see roaming around the boundary wall.
The major drawback was we didn't have network coverage, mobile data (vi not coverage, airtel was sluggish) was not available and on top of that the apartment we got was at one end of the building where wifi didn't have any coverage and we were cut off from the internet during our stay at the place.
Parking in the basement is ridiculous, Full of pillars and it's very difficult to park for an above 4m vehicle and max 3or4 cars can be accommodated. We can park outside the building within the hotel premises where 2-3 cars can be parked without roof comfortably.
Overall it's a good stay, but kitchen, wifi and parking needs to...

Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. It is ideal for people travelling in groups- family or friends. Absolute value for money.
Added attraction, it provides beautiful views from the balcony and also is right in front of a Dam on Souparnika River.
