Me & my partner recently had the pleasure of staying at the Abad Copper Castle, a breathtaking resort nestled in the rolling hills of Pothamedu, Munnar. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a lush landscape that was well-maintained and tended to with care. Our ground floor room was a cozy haven, complete with all the necessary amenities. However, we were disappointed to find that it lacked an electric kettle, which meant we had to rely on room service for hot water. But, the housekeeping staff more than made up for this with their friendly and attentive service.
Dining at the Abad Copper Castle was a delightful experience. Although the breakfast buffet spread was limited in size, it was rich in quality and flavor. The biriyani we ordered through room service was particularly noteworthy, and I would highly recommend giving it a try!
The staff at the resort were nothing short of amazing. They truly made our stay at the resort a memorable one.
Located just a few short kilometers from the city center, the Abad Copper Castle provides easy access to all the sights and sounds of Munnar. It's also located near the Pothamedu viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. The road leading to the resort is in good condition which is difficult to find in Munnar. Be aware that mobile coverage from Airtel and BSNL may be sparse in and around the property. But, the resort's internet is reliable and easily accessible once you check in.
If you're looking for a serene property in the heart of Munnar, the Abad Copper Castle is the perfect destination. With its well-maintained grounds, delicious food, friendly staff, and great location, it's sure to provide you with a...
Read moreWe visited ABAD Copper Castle Resort at Munnar on Pongal 2024. It's a decent choice if you want any decent resort closer to Munnar Town.
The parking lot is very limited and if the rooms are full it is very difficult to park vehicles and take them out since the space is very small and you can't part your vehicle on roadside too. If you have a large size vehicle and if you are planning for Munnar in peak season, kindly think twice.
We were offered a Dry ginger/Coriander tea as welcome drink and it tasted good. Rooms are simple and clean. The view from the windows will blow your mind. But there's no balcony kind of set up. Also they adviced us to close the glass doors to avoid stray monkey from entering the room.
Bathroom/toilet was clean but couldn't find any buckets in both the rooms. A small TV was available. Room service was very responsive.
Rooms are not sound proof and we heard many knocking sounds from top floor. The location of the hotel is like, the reception is on top near parking area and you have to go down to ground floors at level 1,2,3 for your rooms and elder people with knee pain will feel the difficulty since no lift is available there.
They have a small garden area along with play area for children. They are also offering free campfires if weather permits.
We were offered a complimentary breakfast and they had pineapple juice, idly, Vada, masala omlette, bread, poori, chicken sausage, tea, coffee etc and all tasted good.
If you are looking for a spacious kind of resort, kindly avoid this. If you are looking for a decent place near to town, you...
Read moreStayed in Abad Munnar in the month of May with my family for 4 nights. Overall it was a great stay and we will definitely return ||Highlights of the stay ||1. Good Breakfast buffet, my parents who are senior citizens really appreciated the hot breakfast options available everyday |2. Overall food quality is very good, all days we ate in the resort |3. View from our room was v nice|4. Morning housekeeping lady was very helpful |5. Had a v nice fireplace in the garden in evenings to enjoy on chilly nights ||Only issue I felt was wifi is v bad and phone network for Airtel or Vodafone didn’t work at all in the resort location, second point was we arrived at 3 pm at resort after a 5 hr road journey, I have 2 young kids who travelled with me. Reception informed us at the arrival to immediately order something for lunch as lunch typically closes at 3 pm. As soon as I was in room I called room service but the order taker was extremely unprofessional and just said lunch is closed now. Only after insisting firmly that we just arrived and I would appreciate some lunch for at least my kids he offered couple of rice dishes from the lunch buffet which were available upstairs to be sent to room. ||I feel, something we need to understand the situation and consider at least kids and senior citizens when we are talking to guests. The same person I felt was couple of other times too v unprofessional while handling orders. Rest I really enjoyed my stay as mentioned previously and we will definitely...
