🚫🚫🚫What Travelers Should Know Before Booking..🚫🚫🚫🚫
I stayed at Bluemist Resort for a one night trip during the Onam holidays. The location is beautiful and ideal if you’re planning to explore nearby attractions such as Athirappally, Vazhachal, and Charpa waterfalls etc. My kids enjoyed the stay, but here’s my honest review for future travelers.
The rooms are neat, spacious, and well-maintained. Housekeeping is good, and the overall ambience inside the room is comfortable. The staff are polite, friendly, and very attentive, which was one of the highlights of the stay. However, the resort does not offer much apart from a pool (around 4–5 ft depth). If you are expecting modern amenities or recreational activities, you may feel limited.
They provided us complimentary breakfast with simple, traditional Kerala dishes. Don’t expect a wide buffet or continental spread. Forks and knives are not offered, but honestly, you won’t need them as the menu is more traditional. For dinner, they offer a buffet at around ₹400 per head (plus taxes). We skipped it since the menu didn’t seem child-friendly, but you can easily find plenty of restaurants within 5–7 km.
Parking of my car was a serious concern. The underground parking is very limited and not suitable for bigger SUVs or MUVs. The alternative they suggest is to park on steep land (40–60° incline), which is risky, especially during rain. Definitely not ideal for travelers with family or for those worried about vehicle safety.
Please be noted, I connected with all reviews before confirming booking. The pictures shown in advertisements don’t match what you actually see upon arrival. The resort looks far less premium in reality.
I paid nearly ₹14,000 for 4 adults and 2 kids for a one-night stay during Onam holidays. Honestly, the experience did not feel worth the price. Think, the hotel doesn't have Elevator, no wifi support, useless intercom facility , but the telephone is properly displayed in every room. The location is great, but for the same budget, better resorts with more facilities are available in the area.
Let me conclude!!! Bluemist Resort can be considered only if you are purely looking for a clean room to stay overnight while exploring the waterfalls nearby. However, if you expect amenities, parking convenience, and value for money, this may disappoint...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Blue Mist Resort and while there were a few positives, the overall experience left us quite disappointed. Positives: The food was tasty, though limited in variety. Rooms were neat, clean, and well-maintained — clearly some care has been taken with upkeep and cleanliness.
However, there were several major letdowns: Misleading Name & Setup: This place is advertised as a resort, but in reality, it’s just a three-floor building with no lift. There’s no open space, no garden, or even a small area to walk around or take photos — definitely does not feel like a resort. The name is quite misleading. Limited Food Options: While the taste was good, the variety was extremely poor. For non-vegetarians, there was just one curry option. For vegetarians, it was even worse — just dal to go with pulao or chapathi. No starters, no sides, no fries. The staff was not willing to accommodate any food-related requests either. The breakfast buffet was very basic — no juice, no coffee, just tea as a beverage. For a place that charges ₹6000 per night, this is simply unacceptable. Swimming Pool Not Kid-Friendly: One of the main reasons we chose this place was for our child to enjoy the pool. Unfortunately, the pool is only suitable for adults. There’s no separate kids’ section, and we were not informed about this beforehand. Although we did get a tube upon request, the experience was disappointing. The resort should have proactively informed us that the pool is not child-friendly when we made the booking. Conclusion: While the rooms are clean and the food is tasty, the lack of space, poor amenities, extremely limited food choices, and misleading branding make this place far from a true resort experience. At ₹6000 per night, it’s simply not worth the price. We wouldn’t recommend this for families — especially those...
Read moreWe arrived at Blue Mist around 2pm. The resort is conveniently located just a few kilometers away from the Athirappilly Waterfalls and is easily accessible via Google Maps.
The resort is housed in a new, well-maintained building. The reception area is welcoming, and from the front of the hotel, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river.
Upon arrival, they assisted us with our luggage. We parked our car under the resort and were then led to our room.
We stayed in the Haven room, which features a Jacuzzi. We were delighted with the room's cleanliness and amenities. The blue tub with water jets was a highlight, and we looked forward to using it during our two-day stay.
The room also includes a small dining area and a large smart TV for convenience.
We filled up the tub and used the supplied foaming lotion for a relaxing bubble bath with massaging water jets.
In the evening, the staff inquired about our dinner preferences and served the meal in our room. The food was excellent, and the price was reasonable.
The next morning, we were served a delightful breakfast of fresh fruit, chaya, idly, sambar, and a bread omelette. The delicious food put us in high spirits for the day's adventures.
The hotel offers a view of the waterfalls from the top floor, which also serves as an event floor.
After a day full of adventures, we returned to the hotel for another soak in the Jacuzzi and a swim in the river.
We enjoyed the same quality food that evening and the following day before checking out.
Our experience at Blue Mist was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to this part of Kerala on a budget.
A special shoutout to Jithu, who gave us a warm welcome and ensured our stay was...
