Peace and love beach stay — Hotel in Kerala

Since I don't have any option to give a negative rating. So giving one Star.

I had a bad experience by booking this homestay.

Let me tell you what happened to me. I've booked a room from December 28- January 1 2025 (i.e I've booked this place in November 1-2nd week itself ).

Cuz I need to be in Alleppey for the new year. Despite booking it 1 and half months before.

The guy who is operating this place called me before the day of my stay (i.e December 27,2024) and asked me to cancel the booking. By telling me so & so reasons and convinced me to cancel the booking.

And also gave a false promise that he will be providing the dorm bed in his stay.

But when the reached Alleppey it got bit late night. Now he has turned the plate by saying that he will be giving me a dorm bed in another homestay.

That place doesn't have any fan and proper bed. It was a small tiny home without proper ventilation and rooms full of beach sand.

When I asked that another homestay guy about the proper bed. Then he was telling me that akshar( the guy operating this stay) said to another homestay guy. That I'm a solo backpacker and can adjust anywhere.

Akshar was telling me all the reasons to stay at another place. Which he was showing.

Luckily I searched for another place at that night and managed to sleep on a couch for one night. Cuz all the homestays and resorts got packed on that since it was a weekend and holiday season.

And I've stayed in Alleppey for 4 nights. I got to meet few local people there. They were telling me that the guy operating this stay is same with maximum of Indian backpackers.

So i strongly recommend you guys not to...

As two female travellers, From having second thoughts about choosing this place for just a day to extending our stay for three days, We found a second home in Alleppey. This place had everything we needed: amazing people, a peaceful yet welcoming vibe, and unforgettable experiences. Far from the Hustle and bustle yet close to everything ( backwaters, city, cafes). Have the cleanest beaches. Perfect place to enjoy a laid back lifestyle.

A full night conversation by the beach, sitting on the roof and sharing lighthearted moments with strangers who felt more like friends, made it special. Perfect place to pull all nighters with friends. You may find a more luxurious stay elsewhere, but you won’t find people like these. Ashkar, you made our time here truly wholesome. We will be missing the place, the plants, roof, all the art, dogs, the fish you cooked. Glad we spent the last day together.

Our experiences ranged from the odd to the awesome: dancing on the roof, chasing the sunset on a boat and swimming in the sea, walking peacefully by the waves under the moonlight, enjoying back waters and speed boating, holding squids (don't try they bite 😂 and they do look like Davy Johes) and fish fresh from the fishermen, and soaking up the music from nearby cafes.

The absolut perfekt place to stay. The room was clean the bathroom too. Everything you need is in walking distance. You are at the Beach front and the sound of the waves Bring you to sleep. Ashkar is helpful in every way. Just ask and you get it. (Tuktuk, Transport by Scooter etc) For the mornig Tea there is a Shop 20m away and you can buy also drinking water there. You can also get drinking water for free in the Guesthouse . The WiFi ist exelent and also free. Ashkar organizes cheap Backwaters Tours you will never forget. He Shows you the best Restaurants in the area and the best places for breakfast. In all No whishes left. I wanted to stay just for 3 days but now I'm here for a week and I will stay one more week for Sure. I'm Not expecting to find a better place ANYWHERE Right now I'm sitting on the Veranda and I hate that I HAVE to leave some day....
