Queens Tourist Home Vadakara — Hotel in Kerala

I stayed 2 nights and 3 days at this property. Don't expect smart card door locks and wall to wall carpet at this place. There are plenty of bars, guess it's a popular alcoholic's destination in town. Surprisingly the continuous flow of public starts from morning. There is a rooftop restaurant & bar served decent food. Disappointing is the fact that B'Fast is served at 10! 2 hours later its lunch time!! The ATM/CC payment machine was out of order. With the Gov imposed maximum withdrawal is limited to 10K INR per day it was a pain paying cash. You don't get to swipe cards in majority of the locations. I had asked for an iron the day I checked in, it arrived the day I was checking out, no ironing boards, no laundry, very disappointing.||||The only plus point I saw is that the Hotel is located in the heart of the city, easy access to roads and all means of transport. ||||To the Management: You aught to put your thoughts together to upgrade your facility. As someone who visited the hotel solely for booking purposes, I was thoroughly unimpressed with both the room and the reception service. The reception staff seemed disinterested, bordering on rude, with little to no knowledge about the available rooms or amenities. Their customer service skills were lacking, as they failed to address my inquiries adequately and seemed more focused on their personal conversations than assisting potential guests. The overall ambiance of the reception area was lackluster, with outdated decor and an unpleasant odor lingering in the air. Based on my brief encounter, I have serious doubts about the quality of the accommodations and the level of service one can expect during a stay at this establishment. Place which is proximate to the Vadakara Railway station and at a walkable distance from the old bus stand ( pazhaya stand).. It's easy to book online and payment can be made during checkout too.. Rooms are clean and tidy.. But one thing I was not happy was the fact that I was having a complementary breakfast with the booking and it was not provided.. They even promised during the checkin ( I made it at night) that breakfast will be available... But it was not...
