The only advantage of this hotel is that is few meters from Mother's House. But nothing more. The rooms are ok (decently cleaned and spacious), but quite dark. The internet connection is very poor. Some of the staff is nice some other not (they smile only to get tips). But the thing that disliked most is that my earphones where stolen from the room. One day I communicated that I was checking-out the morning after, I left the room and when I came back.. the earphones were gone. Someone tried also to open my bag but they didn't succeed because it was locked. I informed the reception and the guy tried his best to find them but without success. When I informed them that I was going to write on tripadvisor, they offered me money to buy the earphones (I refused). Recommendation 1: please choose another place for your stay in Kolkata, there around there are cheaper an better places. Recommendation 2: if you need to stay in this hotel lock your stuffs carefully and inform them about your check-out at the very...
Read moreDuring our stay in Calcutta, my daughter and I stayed at Hotel Heaven... or should I say Hotel Hell!! I would not advice anyone to stay here. The management was incredibly rude and unaccommodating; the hotel was in very poor condition and did not look anything like the photos or brochures. Here are some photos of what it actually looks like, just so you’re not fooled. We had to have it changed three times and still ended up with one which had black dirt inside and didn’t close properly. The noise level was absurd and the banquet hall is above the rooms, so there is constant noise and partying all night long. The room was not cleaned once in 10 days, nor were the towels or sheets changed. The towels and sheets looked old and dirty. Wi-fi was also only available in the foyer downstairs. If you’re looking for accommodation, be sure to avoid...
Read moreThe person in reception with Name "Aseem Das" was so horrible that he was whispering to his colleague that I will not find any hotel outside if I leave the hotel while I was asking and arguing to change the room allocated for various reasons.||Rooms are of different sizes, and the one allocated to me was like single room converted to double. This room is blocked from all sides and there is no clue in whatever happening outside as there is no outside viewing glasses. Rooms are terribly smelling and cleaning guy was spraying perfume before we visited to remove the bad odour.||Birds were making lots of noise outside of the glass window which is permanently closed. ||While people in room number 204 was taking bath then there was water leakage and flow in room 205, crap. Horrible receptionist, crap rooms, very lazy staff. God knows how they are still surviving in...
