Hotel Mayfair tower — Hotel in Kolkata

We had stayed in Hotel Mayfair Tower for 3 nights in the month of January 2024.

Pros - Mr. Pushpashish Bhattacharya (if I got the name right) the manger, is a man of few words, soft spoken and eager to make adjustments as per our requirements.

The house keeping and helping staff were well behaved and jolly, especially Samrat.

Special mention about Mr. Gopal (housekeeping). We had to check out at midnight and there were hardly any people around, but Gopal was there with us till our cab arrived and not only did he help us with the luggage, he also waited till the cab left the premises with a smile. While, Mr. Shouvik (1 of the receptionists) was in a hurry to finish off with the settlements just so that he could resume with his game in his mobile.

Food here was well cooked and tasty. Even though a lot of time was taken in the preparation, it was worth the wait. We had ordered for Indian, Chinese and snacks at different times. All were tasty.

Cons - Ambience - NOT maintained at all. Reception - Gloomy and cluttered. The receptionists were too stringent (at times annoying) Room - Size of a match box, damp smell, cobwebs everywhere (including below the bed) NO TOILETRIES PROVIDED and 2 small bottles of water for the entire day. (Basically one is forced to buy more water) Age old furniture and fixtures.

Common Areas - In the name of dining/banquet hall, it's just a tiny passage with a few make shift plastic tables and chairs. something basic like tea/coffee was very bad. If you opt for room service (at no extra charge) do not expect food to be hot, but of course they didn't mind reheating. Even though didn't make much of a difference. Location was not suitable for us. Overall...

one on the worst property to actually visit again ..... visited so many times ... earlier it was nice would be recommended but now. its pathetic actually .... the breakfast serving staff behaviour is like ... its buffet when u go yourself to take anything he will stare and will say like as if he is giving the things in free .... no management is good just running the hotel god knows for what sake ....in the name of breakfast just running the scam .... the guy will stop nd see what and how much a person is eating and secondary he is always in hurry to write the room number ... he will look at others as if someone will eat the whole breakfast ....oh god this property is just full of dash .... what all should...

Don’t go by the 5 star review, they might be paid review.Firstly they will confirm booking later on when you will arrive they will say that rooms are not available and also they receptionist Bhandari keeps on saying that that there is no booking confirmation and no rooms are available right now. And also the their behaviour is not good.This is a mental harassment they are just good at harassment and nothing else.If you do not want to spoil the mood please do not...
