Greendale — Hotel in Madhya Pradesh

My Honest Review: Let me start with the best part-the location is superb! Green Dale Resort is in a beautiful part of Pachmarhi, surrounded by nature and perfect for a peaceful getaway.

They offer three types of cottages: Hill View Cottages Garden View Cottage Family Cottage (which we booked)

We chose the Family Cottage because it was the most budget-friendly. But honestly, we were a bit disappointed. The pictures online were quite different from the actual cottage. It felt a bit old-fashioned and lacked the charm we expected. We even requested a change, but the staff said they couldn't accommodate it after check-in-unless we had booked directly through their website. I'm not sure how true that is, but it was a letdown.

My suggestion: If your budget allows, go for the Garden View Cottage-they looked much better maintained and more inviting. I genuinely think they're the best option.

Now, let's talk about the highlights: The Garden: Absolutely beautiful and very well maintained! You can spend quality time with your family-walking, playing with kids, swinging, or just relaxing by the bonfire. It adds so much warmth to the overall experience.

Food: Breakfast was a solid 10/10—they nailed it! Delicious and satisfying. Staff: Polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.

Bonus: Outside food is allowed, which is a big plus for families. Atmosphere: The resort is very quiet and peaceful. The air is so fresh and pure, and the morning fog adds a magica! touch to the surroundings. It truly feels like nature is wrapping you in calm.

Final Thoughts: While the Family Cottage didn't meet our expectations, the garden, food, staff, and peaceful atmosphere made up for it. Do I recommend this place? Yes. Just be mindful of the cottage type you choose-and let the fresh air and foggy mornings...

This is a very neat and clean property, Staff was very co-operative and friendly, They helped with Luggage and Firewood very nicely. Mr. Sandeep and Mr. Abhishek called me back to return the excess money paid during checkout, and they handed back the money very instantly. Good property for large groups. ||They were also kind enough to give us packed sandwiches with ketchup and paper napkins for our trek to Chauragarh. ||They told us that the hotel is packed but on the night when we were in the hotel, We were only guests in the rooms side area, maximum rooms were vacant. I dont know why they did not offer the rooms to us. ||The Lady who handles the booking process is very rude and totally improfessional person. The took the booking advance from me and then changed the rooms type and availability. When I complained about the things she started shouting on phone and told me that unless I give entire money I should not claim the booking, While the confirmation mail mentioned that 50% advance is to be given to confirm the booking. Despite this in written she was not ready to accept the mistake. She claimed that is she does not give me a booking, I will not get a booking in Pachmarhi. and I instantly found booking at Nilambar. Back from our amazing amazing stay at Greendale. We were 12 people and all 12 of us loved the stay.

Location: The location of Greendale is fantastic, away from city chaos but still close to the Bee falls, gypsy counters and anything else that you would want. It is surrounded by so much greenery (justifying the name). You would feel so close to the nature, and away from stress, once you are here.

Rooms: The rooms were big, clean, with all that one would want. They had spectacular view of the lawn that sprawls which looked amazing during rain. Washrooms were big and clean.

Food: Coming to food, it was one of those rare trips where every meal of the day is fantastic. The best thing about food was it's variety. The taste was fantastic. The service was amazing.

Staff: The best staff I have ever come across. Be it the person who attends calls before the booking is made; or the restaurant and hotel staff. Just to give an example: 2 of our phones were not working because of water getting in them, we asked them for a bowl of rice (to apply the conventional method of making our phone work) and they gave it without any hesitation.

Would like to end by saying that 12 of us, all of different kinds, loved the stay at Greendale. It was the best part of our...
