Coconut Hotel's Chicken Tandoori: A Coastal Gem That Sizzles! 🔥🌴
Listen up, tandoori lovers! If you're near Kudal, there's a hidden gem waiting to tantalize your taste buds: the Chicken Tandoori at Coconut Hotel. Forget your typical dry, bland birds – this is a masterpiece of juicy, flavorful perfection, earning it a solid 5-star rating from me!
A Visual Symphony:
From the moment it arrived, this dish was a feast for the eyes. The chicken, marinated to a fiery orange hue, glistened with a hint of oil, promising a succulent journey ahead. The char marks, like abstract brushstrokes, spoke of the tandoor's fiery embrace. It was a visual poem dedicated to the art of grilling.
An Aromatic Masterpiece:
Then came the aroma. A wave of cumin, coriander, and ginger washed over me, mingled with the smoky kiss of the tandoor. It was an intoxicating perfume that had my stomach rumbling in anticipation.
Flavor Explosion in Every Bite:
The first bite was pure bliss. The chicken, unbelievably tender, held its spice beautifully. The marinade had infused every morsel with a symphony of flavors – warm, earthy, and with a hint of citrus that danced on my tongue. The charred exterior added a smoky depth, a delightful contrast to the juicy interior.
Quantity for a Beach Bum:
This wasn't just a tastebud teaser; it was a generous portion fit for a beachside adventure. The succulent pieces were plentiful, served alongside perfectly fluffy rice and a cooling raita to tame the fiery dance.
Coconut Hotel's Touch of Magic:
What truly sets this tandoori apart is the Coconut Hotel's touch. The fresh, coastal air seems to infuse the dish with a unique flavor, a hint of the sea and sunshine. It's a taste that lingers long after the last bite, a reminder of a perfect meal by the beach.
Final Verdict:
Coconut Hotel's Chicken Tandoori is more than just a dish; it's an experience. It's a celebration of spice, flavor, and coastal charm. If you're in Kudal, do yourself a favor and seek it out. You won't regret it!

Read moreFirst and foremost is that the Hotel property is not housed on an independent plot. Therefore it does not have an independent and safe parking. The hotel is on the 1st and 2nd floor with no lift. The rooms are clean and the staff was quiet courteous. I would like to share my experience about the receptionist M.s Geetanjali(if I correctly remember her name). I tried to book through Makemytrip, however no AC room was shown. I therefore contacted the hotel reception. I was informed by Geetanjali that AC room were available, however insisted on advance payment for the booking. When I told her that I was speaking from Kolhapur and I do not have anybody to sent advance payment, she bluntly told me to look for a room elsewhere. I therefore requested to forward me the bank details on whatsapp or on my mail, however no whatsapp or mail was received by me. On revisit to Makemytrip I could find a AC room which I booked. On reaching the Hotel I asked M.s Geetanjali as to why she did not whatspp or mail me the banking details she carelessly informed that the net was not available. I was really surprised with the callousness. I feel that it needs to be impressed upon the staff that they must sincerely work for the organisation that give them bread and butter. My another experience was with the breakfast. There no spread on display and the waiter would inform you the menu. But he would deliberately omit egg omlet or other items and would promote bread jam and bread butter. When we asked for a combination of a idli and wada we were informed that either we could have one plate of idly or one plate of wada and not a combination of both, when infact it does not add to the cost. The next day we were informed that wada sambar would be available only after 0930 when the breakfast timing starts from 0730 to 1030. We were also informed that only two plates were available for each person. It appears that the staff quality is no good and were reluctant workers right from the receptionist to the the waiter . However this was not so in the restaurant. The food quality and service was excellent. Cleanliness of the...
Read moreI stayed here for 3 nights in November 2018 with my family & found it to be of great value in Kudal taluka & overall Sindhudurg district. Firstly location - few km's from Kudal Train Station, walking distance to Kudal Market.. its at very convenient location. For family you have ice cream parlor across the street, great breakfast place 100 meters from the hotel called "Manva" which serves all malvani breakfast choices and general store nearby. This comes in handy. Property is next to petrol pump so those travelling in private vehicles, its great. Large part of hotel is ready with some under construction but that doesn't hamper anything. Hotel has rooms for small as well as big families, which can accommodate anything from 3 to 8 people. Rooms are spacious and well kept with very good hygiene and cleanliness. Flat TV with good choice of regional and national TV channels, so you wont miss a bit of your favorite TV soaps.Bathroom is sizable & is equipped with all latest marble finishing, sanitary fittings and gas geysers so you can have hot water any time you want. Hotel has restaurant and a rooftop bar. Food quality is good. I had my dinner & few lunches at the hotel w/o any second thoughts. Staff is courteous and is willing to help all the time. During my stay i also discovered that this is also a place of choice for many Marathi celebrities when they are on tour in this area, which adds to its goodwill. and for all this, the rent is very modest that everybody can afford. Overall great value hotel and its definitely on my list of preferred hotel, whenever i am back in Kudal...
