Hotel Mount Castle — Hotel in Maharashtra

The only reason I am giving them 2 star is cuz they have changed my room proactively. Otherwise it would have been 1 only.

First, I had booked room through calling and have been told that rooms are all good and breakfast is included.

Upon reaching, although I showed all possible prove of me being married, they were asking for marriage certificate. (PS - Aadhar name was not updated to current one, in case of my wife.)

Room was full of dust, bedding was pathetic, bathroom wasn't giving hot water. Dish TV wasn't recharged. Wardrobe had spider webs.

In evening when we come after sight seeing they changed our room and portrayed as if they were doing a favour on us (room they said on phone it was 2.5k, upon reaching they charged us 3k) saying you have sofa cum bed outside in the corridor.

In the morning, upon checkout altamash was asking if he really said that breakfast was included.

All n all, I won't recommend it.

Been here yesterday. We were on our way to Kolhapur with friends and decided to relax a night in a resort in panchgani. While in the ghats, Mount Castle was the first resort we encountered. We made an enquiry and saw the rooms. A big resort with around 7 bungalows. Each bungalow with 4 rooms and individual bathrooms. We wanted to have a valley view room but unfortunately we were in bungalow 7. But it proved to be more of a advantage to me as there is a masjid just behind this bungalow in the resort premises which was a sort of surprise​. Other than that, i personally liked the wooden themed restaurant. I loved the quick service. Pool, carrom and fussball was awesome. Pool table is not in a very good condition as it is in pool clubs but it is not a bad one either.

In all, experience was very nice. I recommend this resort to family visitors. Don't expect much and you will love it. I would visit again with...

We were two couples and were staying in two suite rooms (615 & 616). 616 is the better one with a balcony.

Good part : Rooms were spacious and clean. Room service was good. Food was good (price to quantity ratio could be better) View from 616 balcony was awesome.

Bad part: Bathroom ceiling in room 615 was literally leaking. Water was not getting drained after bath. Had to call housekeeping every time to clean the bathroom. I didn't feel anything "suite" kind of in it. There were too many flies (मक्खियाँ) in the their restaurant. It definitely need renovation. We preferred having food in our rooms.

Overall the resort is fine but few areas needs improvement. We got a good discount from one of the hotel booking sites hence booked the suites. If we would have booked it in the original price then it would not...
