Pawna Lake Camping | Lohagad restaurant and Boating. — Hotel in Maharashtra

Really an awesome location for weekend hangout or for a multi day camping activity.This place have all facility for camping inside the premises with private space seperated from the general public. An on premise restaurent available with good quality food and beverages.The extended seating arrangement will give a nice overlook to the beautiful Pawana dam reservoir.The boating events available in this place is an awesome experience.Speed boats, Jetskis are of pretty good condition, and they maintain sufficient safety measurements for all age group people. The people who run the boats and Jetskis are well trained to handle the machines, and they entertain us really well to have all the fun of speeding engines over water.We two families went there with few adults and three kids of different age.The youngest one among us about 4 years old was also enjoyed the water activities there.The rocky terrain next to the water body was a perfect place for photo sessions. Watching Sunset sitting on those rocks was a literally bliss to all of our eyes. The location was easily accessible from mumbai-pune old highway, around 20 km from the highway.One thing to be taken care is this 20 km road is single lane, and more narrower near to the camping place. We travelled here with kids on 11th and 12th feb. There are lot of camping options but we choose this place based on the number of ratings. Travel. The road to this place is in good condition from lonavala and this place is inside the boating club. There is a sugarcane juice vendor outside this place (which is included in the package)

Stay. The tents are comfortable and can easily accomodate 3 ppl(2A plus 1C). The tents are pitched on a flat ground where one can relax, play games like criket, dart or listen to music. Mattress(foam) and bedsheets along with pillows are provided which are clean and good quality. Toilets are also well maintained. Overall cleanliness is upto the mark.

Food. All meals are included and served at the adjoining resturant. There are evening snacks(tea and onion pakoda), followed by starters (dry chicken and paneer) and them dinner(chicken, paneer, dal, rice and chapati). Morning breakfast is poha.(maggi available at extra charge).

Other attractions. There are rabbits, piegons, ducks and rotthweiler in the premises. The rotthweiler is frendly and can be petted and big hit with children. There are also horse avaialble for 100rs (one round). There was no boating though when...

We are frequently visiting pawana lake camping lohagad restaurant since 4-5 years from now. They have entry fees of around 30-50 rupees which is redeemable at the restaurants and its sun set is very scenic you can see my photos. It's a good family place can be visited in monsoon or in summers. In monsoon it is full till the restaurant so you can go inside the lake as it's deep but now they have boating and cruser riding to enjoy on monsoon(see pics) and in summer when water is less you can enjoy at the lakeside for bath in lakes water and do some chapachap. Or baccho ke liye it's full of fun see my pics with kids enjoying. Great place to visit frequently with family and Friends. Order snacks or anything at the restaurant and they do have camping option also for the stay which need to be booked in advance. Approx 1 hour journey from pune via mumbai-pune old highway.
