I went to pawna capmsite in Oct 2016 with 7 other friends (all boys). Pictures of this place seems beautiful but it is actually a very small space, right on the highway hidden by fences with trees, so not a place for someone who is looking for a quite place in midst of nature. Clarify with property owner (and not agent/sonali) explicitly about prices. You do not want surprises like we got for bbq stove/tiny shigdi and that too at more than 350 rs, more than what I confirmed forehand. Good, helping property owner (santosh nana) but business minded and can be rude occasionally. Somewhat a safe place, but expect very loud noises especially till midnight by tourists, since there are around 5-6 other medium camp sites closer to this pawna campsite. Limited access to lake was possible, not recommended for families since there are no steps and clear path made to access the lake. Campfire wood was included and provided along with some limited timber since we did not included food in our package and we had to cook on our own with woods found around. Tents were in nice condition and pillows etc were also provided. Unplanned rotis were arranged for us at midnight by property owner at nominal price which we appreciated. Toilet was clean and above average as compared to other public/commercial toilets. A town nearby (approx 2-3 kms) where you can buy your drinks and food. Very good experience under tight budget overall, ignoring few hiccups. Worth it. Can recommend...

Five people are forced to adjust in one small tent (tent size suitable for 2 people)||6. Claims to have boating/kayaking (one kayak to be shared among 100+ guests)||7. Dirty washrooms (4 washrooms to be shared among 100+ guests)||||When raised these points, the organizer did not respond initially and when it was 9pm/dark, he||||- Took sigri and plates (along with food) away from our tent ||- Asked us to leave||- Rudely said "Will not give any refund - "Jo karna hai karlo"||- Told his assistants to not give food to us.||||This was on an island and we came to this place through motor boat.(our car was parked at the other side of the lake). ||||When asked to drop back, he said motor boat is chargeable and will charge 200/- per person to drop back to car parking. ||||Extremely disturbed with...
Read moreLovely place at an affordable price. This is unlike the other places, particularly those around Mulshi, that charge a bomb and give you the same experience. If you are in for a weekend amidst the beautyof nature, this is the perfect place to be. There are tents, music, bonfire, BBQ and all this just a stone's throw away from Pavana Lake. We went here in April when the temparature in Pune was close to 40 degrees. So obviously we didn't carry sweaters, but boy were we mistaken. It was winter in summer here- the perfect atmosphere to huddle up around a bonfire. It is a simple place with the basic amenities in place- clean washrooms being the foremost. Food was tasty and the attendants were warm and helpful. The place is 10 kms from Lonavala and they can arrange for pick up and drop from the Lonavala railway station. Personally, I feel a bike ride is best to reach the place. Just get on your bike and head towards Kamshet on the old Pune-Mumbai highway. Take a left from Kamshet and keep going straight. Long weekends are packed here but it's calm and serene...
