We had gone for an office picnic on 18th and 19th august - we were 35 of us. We booked three villas - the window seal of one of the window in one of the villa was broken (ground floor) - which we complained and were told since i t is backyard nothing to worry. The staff of resort kept a close watch through out. While we went off at about 230am on 19th August - a man entered in the room - picked up the bag and entered further and picked up another bag - coolly walked out of the window - sat outside in the verandha checked the belongings and smartly took cash worth 16500 and two high end mobiles (note 8 and samsung 9) and dumped the bag in the backyard. When we got inthe morning at about 8am only to find the bags were missing when we searched the premises found that our bags and belongings were lying all strewn around the backyard. A detailed drama post that started all the staff behaved as though they have no clue. Smartly the camera at the backyard was not working when we saw the cctv footage of the kitchen since our villa was close to it - managers' couldnt recognise few of its staff saying they had just joined. We lodged an fir and police came however, we feel all in hands and gloves with each other. The footprints of the thieves were also seen and matched yet no action taken. When we questioned the resort manager Mr. Mandar he coolly got away saying that he is sales manager and is not responsible for the safety. The owners were not ready to even come out and talk and they were parked in the premises. We like innocent customers made entire payment in advance. The interrogation with their staff was also not done no efforts were done at all to atleast speak out to their staff. The theives could have attacked the children sleeping around or could have harmed the female guests. The resort is highly mismanaged - when we came back we came to know that a day before also some guests were robbed off 16k cash which was quietly refunded back to them. Please guys watch before you book this place - it is putting your life and money at stake. U can check our facebook comments and twitter and tripadvisors and mmt we believe social media can help us curb this and the resort is banned from doing...

Eight months after my wedding at Sereniity Resort, I’m still haunted by the disappointment. What should have been a joyous occasion was marred by mismanagement and negligence. Here’s what went wrong:
Stolen Welcome Gifts: Half of our prepared gifts for guests were never delivered; staff kept them instead.
Self-Service Buffet: My guests had to serve themselves at every meal. Despite paying for full service, there were no staff present to assist.
Limited Buffet Hours: Buffets were removed after just one hour, causing 40% of our guests to miss meals. We had to order food from outside.
No Family Table: Neither my family nor my wife’s family had reserved seating, leaving them to go without food during functions.
Rude Service: After our Haldi ceremony, requests for basic toiletries were met with rudeness and dismissal.
Event Shutdown Early: The manager (Mrs. Ratnamala) abruptly ended our Sangeet at 9:45 PM, despite assurances of later service, leaving us embarrassed.
Questionable Liquor License: We paid for a liquor permit, but they never provided a receipt and dismissed our inquiries.
Gate-Crashers and Theft: Uninvited guests consumed our liquor and stole bottles. Staff also stole several bottles during the event.
Incomplete Decorations: We received only 70% of the promised decorations, undermining our careful planning.
Lack of Event Staff: No staff were present to manage the event, adding unnecessary stress.
Pre-Payment and Security Deposit Issues: We were forced to pay in full a week before the wedding. It's been 8 months, and our deposit is still unrefunded.
Blackmail Over Reviews: After receiving negative feedback, the venue attempted to blackmail us into removing the reviews posted by the guests at my wedding.
My wedding, meant to be the happiest day of my life, turned into a nightmare. I strongly advise against booking this venue. You...
Read moreIt's been more than 6 months and serenity resort have been ignoring our calls and staff if picks up call by random number they say they can't do anything. They warn us that if you don't remove negative reviews we can't refund the amount. Security deposit has to be legally refunded in 1 or 2 days max 7 days can be considered but they are just demanding their own demands.
WORST EXPERIENCE. WORST FEEDBACK. DEFINITELY NON RESPONSIVE STAFF AFTER PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. I'm going towards legal actions. No manager. No higher management is responsible to manage this in 6 months. Shame on you for being in this business.
Management is the worst, they have staff for guest luggage drop off. They tell the lady housekeeping staff to pick heavy bags, which is not acceptable. They clear the lunch and dinner in front of guests ( during wedding, they were clearing the lunch and not letting guests have it). Try to have basic manners. Photo booth, decorations and all were decided before hand, but still on the day of wedding it was some round of flowers with a light in between and they charged 25k for that. Manager lady just keeps staring at the guests while having dinner and just keep turning the lights off even when guests are yet to have dinner. Before the payment they talk all politely and as payment is done everything you ask for is chargeable or just not available. They don't have returned my security deposit which was supposed to be returned during checkout. It has been 7 days since the wedding and they are not answering calls or texts. If someone responsible is reading this, kindly take action else I have to take actions accordingly.
Conclusion: DON'T THINK OF BOOKING THIS RESORT ( SPECIALLY FOR WEDDINGS) , There are great resorts in Lonavala which...
