Silver Oak Villa — Hotel in Maharashtra

Absolute value for money apartment to stay! I went with my family of 4 in July 2018 and these were my observations -

The Apartment - Very clean and tidy. Contains 2 rooms with each having a bed large enough for 2 adults to sleep. The hall was spacious too with enough space to put 3-4 mattresses on the floor. Entire apartment was neat and clean, no dust anywhere. TV and refrigerator were working well. Outside the apartment there was a small pool and swing which was well maintained too.

The Management - The villa manager Mr. Santosh and his wife were very warm and cordial. Helped us out a lot and were very polite.

Food - The restaurant within the premises serves veg as well as non-veg food, so if you're a vegetarian like me it's suggested to avoid eating in that place.

Surrounding area - It is about 5-10 minutes away from the main market (by car). It is advisable to not go by car as the villa is located at the end of a very steep downward slope that can make it very difficult for non-locals to walk up (or even down). The main market has one pure veg restaurant - Namaste's Purohit - which is also very good.

Places to visit - Since you've most likely come to explore, it is essential to know which places are nearby. The villa is approx. 15-20 mins (by car) away from Table Land, Sydney Point as well as Harrison's Folly. It is also very close to Parsi Point. So in your itinerary for Panchgani, you can safely cover all these places within one day.

The few negligible cons that happened with us were - 1) The electricity went off for the entire night during the second night of our stay. 2) There is a small farm next to the villa at some distance and some of the chickens kept hooting on throughout the night, so if you're a light sleeper you're likely to get disturbed.

Overall, it is still one of the most paisa-vasool places you can find in Panchgani. It had the lowest cost amongst a whole list of hotels I searched for and despite the low cost it did not disappoint. I highly recommend you...

I had recently booked deluxe room with valley view & studio hall with kitchen platform.

Points :) 1.Cleanliness - Rooms were clean. I was particular abt cleanliness & room space since I had infant travelling with me. Bed linen was clean & bath room was clean.

2.Hospitality - Mr. Santosh - hotel manager was kind enough to get lunch prepared for my late request at 2:45pm.

Food - Veg. Thali (Rs.150) food quality & quantity was good.

Amenities - Room had a refrigerator for storing food & water purifier for drinking. Although I saw a router aside T.V , I never enquired about using it since I had a sufficient Jio data plan. Bathroom itself was almost 36sqft area, larger than most other hotels.

Improvement points - Provide luggage transfer helper guys. I had to make two trips from car park to this beautiful room to transfer my luggage during check in. Usually, hotels help guests for such but I didn't that request here. Accept credit card payment. They accepted electronic fund transfer though but I would like to enjoy additional 30 days of credit from bank by using cr.card. Force of water pressure in bathroom taps can be improved. It wasn't too bad either but was less than usual.

Summary: Mountain view & spacious clean room with good room service at economical rate is great value...

My family stayed in this hotel for three nights (May 30 - June 1).||||We had a room on the third floor with a large private balcony and a good view.||||The room was clean and had all the essentials: separate geyser for bath, fridge, cable TV, water purifier.||||Room service is good. Sheets changed daily. Room cleaned daily.||||The in-room dining service is really slow as a family manages the kitchen. But the quality of food is good. Simple home cooked meals. The tea and coffee was too sweet. Meals are not expensive. Order from the Menu. Limited choice.||||The swimming pool was clean, but it is small. ||||Location is not good as it is far from the market. So you pay Rs 100 for each taxi trip to the market. Rs 100 again to return.||||Wi-fi did not work at times.||But excellent mobile network connectivity. ||||Book well in advance to get a good rate...
