Definitely the best hotel in Lavasa if you want to stay at the centre of the city with all the touristy spots within close vicinity (hotel is right on the promenade). Good part is, even though it is at the heart of the city, rooms are very quiet and peaceful. Rooms are really cozy, comfortable and most importantly very clean. They provide full-fledged service apartments with Studio, 1 BHK & 2 BHK options. Kitchen setup is fairly elaborate and provided facilities such as refrigerator, microwave oven, electric stove, chimney, kitchen sink, dishes & cutlery. Food quality is good though on a little bit of costly side. Hotel is connected with 5 different restaurants and one can order variety of food from these different restaurants as part of the room service. They also serve nice breakfast (complementary with most of the hotel packages), though options are limited quality is good. Hotel does not have any recreation options inside the main building however it is linked to Dasvino Town & Country Club which is not very far. Club provides range of facilities such as swimming pool, tennis court, gym, badminton court and many more. Staff is super professional and courteous. Room service is quite fast as well. Overall this hotel provides a fantastic experience to all its guest. Highly recommended for budget travelers. If I have to pinpoint any negatives I would say there are only two – 1) No lift service till second floor. One has to go out of the hotel and take steps through some other door beside the main entrance. Really challenging for elderly or handicapped people 2) In studio apartments, there are no tables and chairs. So if you are planning to dine inside your room, you might end up creating a lot of mess...
Read moreThe hotel is quite good, the rooms are well maintained and clean but there are a lot of limitations, the view from the rooms are that great as promised, almost all the toiletries are available but we need to ask for few of them as all's not kept in the rooms. There is a big mismanagement between the restaurants and the hotel, most are shut during the day and the one open refuses to serve food stating the hotel and restaurant are seperate entity inspite of the hotel staff confirming for the availability of food. The restaurants are open to public and so they claim to run out of food on busy days. No priority is given to the hotel guest so it's better to carry your own food or to get food from other restaurants if living here. The check out time is quite early and rigid. At the time of heavy rain and wind, the window s rattle continuously making it a scary place at times. They have a terrace cum sitting space in the 2 room appartment, the shed of which leakes in the rain making it again useless to use. This place should be good to visit in summers or winters may be. Though the water fronts in the city much better in the rainy season. The hospitality of the hotel is quite good though, the hotel staff is quite friendly and cooperative. The housekeeping is quite prompt too. They even gave bottles of water at the time of check out for our...
Read moreThere are some big positives and some real big negatives that leaves the entire experience just about average. The Waterfront shaw sports a brilliant location on the promenade of the Lavasa lake. The promenade is extremely beautiful and peaceful. The hotel as such has compact service apartments. The rooms are neat, staff prompt with a multitude of dining options thanks to more than dozen restaurants that are part of the same complex. The best part of the stay would be a walk along the promenade during sunset. All hotels in Lavasa rely on the Dasvino club house for the gym, swimming pool, spa etc., which is not very far from an abandoned Jurrasic park setting, which is true for the whole of Lavasa as well. The swimming pool was a big disappointment with fungal growth on the flooring and in adequate staff for the upkeep for the whole of the club. A particular essential to mention is the poor soundproofing between rooms. It could get real annoying if you happen to have loud neighbours. Mistook the bell in the neighbouring room for ours every time during the stay. The breakfast saved the day though, with a pretty decent spread at the...
