Velvet County Resort , Lonavala - Khandala — Hotel in Maharashtra

I really like the room in specific which alloted to us. We booked 2+2 for our stay. Gallary was spacious and plus point of the room. One can sit and have dinner in gallary, play in that area, spend time watching moon for long. They have swimming pool, restaurant and few indoor games inside property area.. Indoor games were carom, table tennis etc. I didn't like the options of games at playing area in specific. Swimming pool get closed at 7pm mostly. It was nice pool visibly but it was near to the restaurant, don't know why it's near restaurant. Food was very tasty. Quantity of chicken chilly was little less.Chai was actually ghatia in taste and cost u 70rs around per cup, coffee was good but that is expensive too. For chai coffee max 50rs is more than enough. 70 is bit pricy. Bathroom were clean and neet. Walls were looking little dirty. AC was on auto mode and no remote provided. Wifi was getting disconnected in between and had only access to two people and i dont know what was the logic behind. Spa was closed for guest when we visited, dont know if that is permanently closed or temporary. It's 3 star resort, but i dont felt difference that it's 3 star. Tv was working fine. U can listen to bird chirping early morning and also one can do thoda birding & bird photography in surrounding area as it's ghat region. Overall it's very nice experience with velvet county, but i am not sure it's worth for 3000 Rs/day or not.

If you are a person who is particular about cleanliness and hygiene then this is not a place for you. At the price of 4500 per room night the least that is expected is clean fresh bed sheet , quilt and pillow. We had a terrible experience with this resort when reached at 1.30am after booking the room on the phone. The bed sheets were used my many with hair and dust , the pillow cover were turning black on the top, quilt had stains and pillows had fungus on them. I am not even mentioning the condition of the curtains, they were just filthy. Since we reached late and tired at night ,we requested the staff to change the linens and pillow , to freshly laundered ones. After a while the staff come with shabbily folded used set of linen from another room, which was equally dirty. The house keeping and reception kept insisting that it is clean and they do not ironed fresh set of laundry. Since we insisted for fresh linen, it came to a point that the house keeping rudely walked out of the room leaving the room upside down and the reception staff (Sayam or Sayan) banged the phone. No one returned or answered for 30mins. We had to finally pack our bags and leave the hotel, because we could not sleep in those fungus ridden pillows and bedding after paying 4500 a room night .No sense of hospitality and manners in the staff to treat the tired guest and make them feel comfortable at the middle of the night. It was quite shocking to witness a decently priced resort with not even one clean bed sheet and quilts in there inventory. Don’t just go by the location and fancy pictures...
