One word: Overhyped! The misal is average tasting, at best. The service is forgettable. I called the previous day and the owner says they open at 7:30am. Went around 8:30am and they don't bring all items in the Misal Thali at once. 3 times I had to tell to get the rassa bucket. Papad they gave around the time I was done with the thali. Paav is chewy. The worst part was the taak (buttermilk). They served with NO seasoning, not even salt, forget jeera powder & coriander. There is no salt pepper on the table as well. Had to tell them 5 times to get the taak. The bhaiyya couple kept for running the show doesn't even understand local words like batata, taak. The only good item was the gulab jamun, really tasty. There's no question of returning here even if...
Read moreReally hygienic, affordable, and great tasting Maharashtrian snacks with fantastic fast service from uncle and his team.
I ate the vadapav (Rs.12) which was made fresh and piping hot and their special chutney with it was fantastic. The Kanda bhajiya (Rs.60) was also great as they gave a huge piping hot plate of bhajiyas.
The best take away from here was the really hot steaming misal (Rs.50) uncle was serving. It was really good with lots of ras provided. The extra pav was also really cheap which made it even more fun to have.
I will now return to eat here each time I visit Khandala. Thank you for such a great...
