I stumbled upon this homestay only after arriving in Shillong, and thankfully secured a room for three days immediately. The property is away from the honking noises and traffic that makes a standout. As a solo traveler without a concrete itinerary, the owner was an absolute lifesaver. He took care of everything: mapping out my entire visit to local places and ensuring my stay was completely comfortable. The level of service was impeccable; whether it was arranging my day or the prompt breakfast, one call was all it took for my requirements to be sorted out instantly. Gretz Homestay is a Homestay with 4 rooms run by a family. They do not serve food except for complimentary breakfast. The rooms are super clean and cozy. 2 of their rooms has city and mountain view. The room tariff is very reasonable. The surrounding ambience is very quiet. Please note that it's a residential area and groups who are willing to do wild parties with loud music might face legal consequences. They have decent space for parking cars, though the entrance is narrow and not suitable for beginners leveled drivers.

Outside of the property was maintained well. We were 3 friends who came around 10.30 pm as we were travelling from guwahati, punjab and Delhi respectively.
