Today my tummy was feeling rather warm thanks to the chilli sauce from the chicken chop that my sister brought home day before.

Anyway today I decided to try @ambiencefinedining1 at Nongthymmai. I have passed by here countless times since the last 1 year since it's been opened but honestly speaking everyone I met who ate here didn't sound so thrilled.

I made my way up the stairs without much expectations looking for something less dramatic like a Spaghetti Aglio e Olio or similar.

I was welcomed in & escorted to my table. I had a look at the menu & there were quite a few options to choose from. But one thing caught my eye. The Brazilian Stew. I ordered it in the chicken option along with a cup of Lemon Green Tea.

I guess the dish I ordered is actually named a Moqueca from Brazil & is a stew usually cooked with fish & seafood in coconut milk. Ah well we all learn something new everyday.

Inbetween a complimentary Orange Juice in a double shot glass was given.

The dish came after 20mins. It had a small portion of herb rice with just the right amount of herbs & a plate of the Moqueca. The Moqueca consisted of small tender chicken pieces cooked with carrots, peas, capsicum, spices in a light creamy coconut milk gravy. I took a spoonful of the gravy & it was exactly what I was looking for. It had flavors that weren't in your face. It also felt soothing to the tummy. I have never heard of Moqueca before today & I'm not certain if it's prepared this way, but I loved this dish. I wonder how the fish or prawn version will taste like.

I don't know about the other dishes but this dish that I just ate here was fantastic. I ended the meal with a cup of lemon green tea. Service was also spot on. Very happy to have eaten here.

The service was very warm ,but I will definitely not consider it fine dining ,first of all it has to be called a restaurant at best ,second the food we ordered came exactly after 1 hour 30 minutes now that's a lot of time for the food to arrive ,third we were anticipating the food be be good since we had to wait for sooo long but it was all over the place let's start with the Mexican fries it was simply French fries with a sprinkle of baked beans mixed with some chillies,next we have the paneer pakora which were partially dipped in extra hot sauce not recommend for kids ,next we have the mixed hakka noodles which were extremely bland ,then we have the cappuccino witch looked like milk but decent to taste and finally we have the star of the show the sliced pork burger ....where can I start it had oregano in it ...I have never tasted a burger with sliced pork and plenty of oregano..because as far as I know oregano is an Italian dressing especially for Italian food ...this is my final say about this place retain your staff because the service was with a beautiful smile but either change your cook or train them better because the food was not upto the mark so sorry it's an honest opinion since we just dined there please take it with a positive note and try to improve your food quality because the staff was very nice but the service was absolutely slow and food not up to the mark and the tableware is not great since the table runner is too thick the glass almost topled..thanks and godbless...looking forward to dine again with faster and better food quality and...

The Ambience Fine dining offers an inviting, cozy ambiance. The soft lighting and furnishing creates a warm, intimate atmosphere, perfect for a quiet dinner or a small gathering.
