Joyous Rooms — Hotel in Meghalaya

I and my Husband stayed at this Homestay during the Rakhi'23 holidays when we visited Cherrapunji for our 1st Wedding anniversary. Initially we got a bit perplexed by seeing the location , but within a few hours we got comfortable. Its actually so scenic , just on the main road closer to Orange Roots Restro & Sohra market. Maintained by a family and they greet you so well , try to accomodate all of the requests, serve you home cooked Indian food . Have a bell to listen to requests. BOB understands english well and manager tries to help you well. We enjoyed our 4days stay there... even ordered Haldi milk at night ..since we got so tired after the Double Root Bridge trek.

I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Cherrapunji.. 😍 was our 1st exp of homestay & a fabulous one.. KHASI People are so humble & HELPFUL ..cherra is a lovely place that leaves a footprint forever in...

Superb stay for us in cherrapunji. Its just walk away distance from the restaurant to have bf. Joyous itself provided us hot n yummy home made dinner in that chill weather. Rooms are so clean and tidy. This hotel booking made our whole trip the best. We could just rest so well and it's nearby to all the famous spots we need to visit everything is within 10 to 15 kms travel. Go for it.. You would not regret for choosing this hotel. Excellent stay with polite staff that will help you with everything from food to arranging site seeing in and around Cherrapunji.

The location too is great and rooms are exactly as seen on the website - well organised and clean.

Also dont forget to try some awesome vegetarian thali from Orange Root restaurant which is just opposite side of this property which makes it an even better...
