It was a dream come true of staying at Taj Mahal Palace.... We have been looking for occasion to stay thete.. No other day would have been better than spending the 2021 X-mas here... We had guest visiting us.. Hence booked 3 rooms 348, 349 and 352..Room 352 is just near the stairs and lift..The Gateway of India can viewed from this room with close proximity...Each room has unique decor and painted in purple, lavender, pink, pastel hues colors...||The hotel was fully sold out and had a mad festival rush despite the Corona scare.. The hotel lobby was decorated with X-mas festivities.||The rooms at palace are elegant and spacious... Everything in the room is of premium quality... Toiletries, linen, water bottles.. They serve soya sticks and chivda, and fruits as complimentary... We were also given chocolates from Le Patisserie..An indulgence spa products for relaxing soak in the tub.. ||We tried their restaurant.. Golden Dragon... The restaurant and breakfast buffet is very hyped.. Even the food at the sea lounge is not so great... As there was mad rush at the hotel.. For morning breakfast they were dispersing guests to their all 5 restaurants.. We were sent at the Rendezvous... The banquet.. This was the low point of the stay.. An utter disappointment...||The check in process was okay but the check out was tedious.. The queue was as if that of railway ticket counters.. They were going door to door to gift the Xmas goodies... ||Overall the stay was privileged, great and memorable one overlooking the Gateway of India... Read moreThe Taj Palace is a living work of art, and every part of your hotel experience will be special. The building is exquisitely decorated. The central staircase is amazingly beautiful, and during the morning there is often live Indian music played on the bottom floor that can be enjoyed by everyone as they walk slowly down the stairs to breakfast. There are efficient elevators, but why miss such an experience? The breakfast room is very roomy with some special seats near the windows that allow those seated to gaze out onto the Gateway and the large number of colorful ferryboats that are tied to one another in the middle of the harbor.||The rooms in the Palace are spectacular, as one would expect in a luxury hotel. The bathroom and entryway add to a large and comfortable space where one can relax during the hot days and sleep well at night. The hallways through the wings of the Palace are tastefully decorated with artworks of many flavors. The collection rivals that of a typical museum of fine arts.||The Aquarius "bar" and pool stands as a true wonder. One can eat under the shade of palm trees and associated greenery that gives the feeling of being in a forest clearing. The nearby pool is sizable and well maintained with a relaxed ambiance. Swimming there allows one to look up and enjoy the Taj Palace towarding above. These are "must" destinations for those staying at the museum.||Above all, the personnel are supportive and friendly. I've traveled throughout the world and have never before experienced a hotel so beautifully maintained and...
Read moreMade a booking at this wretched hotel on 29th Aug 2017 when there was heavy rainfall in Mumbai and I was stranded at Vikhroli with my Wife and small Kid. By the time we reached there it was already late night after walking and hitch hiking from vikholi railway stn till this place, We were totally drenched from head to toe. We were greeted by the Hotel manager who told us that there were no rooms available. When I insisted that I had a confirmed booking, I told him my booking id and also told him to speak to OYO. He declined.I was told that his tab is not showing anything. Also, he said since reliance had disconnected power, there is no electricity as well. We waited in the reception for more than 30 minutes but this guy wont relent. When he found that I was desperate since I dont have a place to stay for the night. He took me upstairs in the hotel and showed me a plush room WITH ELECTRICITY and then he says I will have to pay 5000 Rs for this room. I told him I already had a booking and the cost was 2200 something. He said "THEN NO ROOMS AVAILABLE". ||||Then I called up OYO helpdesk and told them the situation. OYO has an amazing helpdesk and support system. Within minutes, the call was escalated, Mr. Aditya singh from OYO shifted my booking to a nearby OYO facility (hotel bently) which was very much better than Druvs Taj palace. Thanks to OYO for helping out.||||However, for everyone else, I would suggest you to steer clear of this place. They are just trying to make money by...
