Visited in February and stayed for 4 nights, checking out in March 2019. Myself and my mother’s first trip to Mumbai and I was apprehensive about booking however on arrival was greeted with a warm welcome and efficiently checked in. Any fears disappeared .. ||||We arrived at 8am and check in was not until 12 however we were checked in immediately and lugguage brought up to our room. ||||The room was clean to Indian standards and small improvements can be made. Minor things like changing the pillows was done immediately with a smile. Nothing was too much.||||The front desk staff Ramesh and Rakesh were helpful. Be it my camcorder that needed repairing or money exchange, no query was too much for them. Subhir was tentative to our needs throughout our stay, from breakfast to finding a cab for us and ensuring we weren’t over charged anywhere (sweet). For breakfast the first morning the India size coffee cups were tiny and 3 sips, I missed my large coffee. Day 2 Subhir had larger cups ready for us, small touches that we will miss. ||||Overall:||Good - ||Bed was comfortable, sheets clean. ||Bathroom was very clean, we stayed in room 204. ||breakfast was a buffet style, limited options but all the food served was tasty and hygienically made (we didn’t get any Mumbai belly). Breakfast you can have omelette or dosa freshly made with condiments. 1 additional option of an Indian hot breakfast (paratha stuffed flat bread, Mumbai local specialties). ||we had dinner at the hotel on our last evening, the food was excellent and like a home cooked meal (all made fresh).||complentary foot and back massagers available in reception and the foot massager is needed after a day sight seeing. ||soap and shampoo available in the bathroom ||||Not so good - ||the blanket throw on the bed had also seen better days ||the noise from the petrol station next door is the usually Indian beep beep noise into the night but not the hotels fault and I was so exhausted most evenings I fell asleep even though I am a light sleeper. The noise is part of being in India I felt. ||||I have attached a few pictures of the hotel as before I booked I didn’t see many photos on trip advisor and fell the hotel was not done any justice. ||||Location isn’t sceanic however it is convienently situacted||in south Mumbai and great for sight seeing as taxis as regaurly available just outside the hotel. Hotel is ideal for foreign travellers as the hygiene standards are good. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends or stay here...
Read moreIf you are desperate for a hotel at a specific location (where this hotel is), you may opt for this hotel. But honestly, this is not a good choice.
Literally most of the possible items are bad about this hotel, barring 2 aspects: Staff at hotel are friendly and very cooperative Food quality is decent enough (kudos to Chef)
Amongst the bad ones: Hotel shows signs of neglect and aging Finding crawling (& few flying) insects in the rooms are common phenomenon AC and TV remotes may or may not work All lights may or may not work Mini fridge in the room may or may not work
Other aspects: Breakfast is very limited, but quality is GOOD. Being next to HP Petrol Pump, there is always a queue of cabs waiting to fill gas. This also leads to noise at night (so, if you are fussly...
Read moreWe spent one night in a double deluxe room in this hotel. The room was large and very clean. The bed was one of the comfiest I had in all of my travels through India. The air-con & TV and free Wifi all worked perfectly. The shower was hot and had very good pressure. ||||The check-in was really quick and the people on the front desk helped us on many occasions when we were asking how to get to certain sights around the city. ||||The breakfast was really good- one of the best I had. Eggs, pancakes, toast, tea/coffee. All cooked in front of you. ||||The location of the hotel is a little bit far away from all of the sights but there is a large train station directly over the road from it, so it wasn't a...
