OYO Wooden Paradise Nainital — Hotel in Nainital

We booked this property through Oyo and we received a SMS message that I can give a miss call on provided number to confirm or cancel my booking. I confirmed that I will be visiting the property and received a confirmation message but to my surprise the booking was cancelled when I reached the property. When I called Oyo customer care, they said that the room has been cancelled by the Hotel stating a reason that there is a change in my plan. When I asked the reception staff, he tried to act as if he doesn't know anything.

Being a Wizard member of Oyo, I got this booking at INR 1560 per day and OYO rep said (after a call of more than 30 minutes) that no rooms are available in this hotel and Oyo can't help me. When I disconnected the call, the guy at reception asked me if OYO confirmed my booking or not. When I was leaving the hotel, the guy at reception offered me same room for INR 2500. I then understood the game of cancelling the room at the last minute. I immediately booked another room through another website at a higher cost in a much better hotel and left the property.

For future Travellers: *Do not fall in trap of the pictures that you see on the website. They are photoshopped images and the rooms are no where close to it. *The location of the hotel is not good at all and I am sorry for calling it a hotel. Its not a hotel at all. Its a LODGE or below average Guest House. *If you are traveling with family or as a couple, just avoid this property. Else you will end up...

Hey it was worst experience booking this place named acorn cottages it was not available on the location provided by the owner and also the owner switched off his phone and we were roaming in nanital for around 2 hours without having any clue where to go ! With our luggage in hand we were roaming on streets and finally we asked from locals to locate so we get toknow from them that the place was about 2 km from the location owner has shared on the app ! When we finally reached the location of bnb we experienced so bad behavior from the owner and his receptionist they both were abusive we were already in anger due to the difficulties that we faced during the place so we asked them to give us wifi of the place but wifi was not working as written in the amenities! It give us another chance of being furious and after having this abusive and harrasef attitude of the owner we decided to leave the cottage in the night and finally wer were forced to sleep in our cars ! I never thought this guy harshwardhan will be so abusive and make us feel uncomfortable he aslo gave us warning of beating so we were nit safe at that place so left the place without recieving a peng back from owner !!! Please stay away form this place we never asked for refund niether from bnb nor the owner because of the bad harrasment behavior of onwer he used maa bhen...

Look wise hotel looks beautiful because of wooden build. Used bed sheets, pillow covers and blankets which are in bad condition, may be not washed properly. They will not give you extra blanket. And the available blankets were very thin which were not blanket you can say woollen bed-sheets. So please carry your own blanket if you are going to stay in this hotel. No parking place available for 4 and 2 wheelers here because it is situated in between other residential buildings. You can park 2 wheelers on the roadside out there but hotel will not take responsibility for that. This hotel is opposite to post office. They will not serve you Drinking RO water but normal warm water to drink is available. If you want to have dinner or lunch here so you have to mention 1-2 hours before to the reception. If you are a Airtel and Jio user network will not work here in this hotel. View from balcony is nice. Geyser is available...
