Hotel Anand Lok Inn — Hotel in New Delhi

So we stayed at this hotel 2.5 years ago. We have a booking on booking.com for about 2,500 ruppees. When we got there They went on to tell us we cannot stay there because we are American citizens only Indian can stay there. This caused a big uproar and eventually they let us stay but we had to pay 4,000 ruppees. We were very tired so we reluctantly agreed. When we got to the room, it was disgusting. It was like a jail cell. Everything dirty, cold white walls, shower dirty, bedding dirty, it was horrible. We decided to just leave. We couldn’t take it for even 5 minutes. So we did, we left. They didn’t give us ANY money back. I was so mad at myself for booking this I just didn’t look back. Until now, I see that they posted a 5 star review for themselves on my booking account !!! This is insane!! So fraud. So incredibly fraud. We didn’t even stay there because it was so disgusting and paid almost double what the booking price was and they gave THEMSELVES a 5 star review from my booking account. Stayed here for a night before our flight out of Delhi the next day. We booked a deluxe room and the rooms were oversized, clean and the service was prompt.

We ordered lunch and that was amazing as well. No complaints whatsoever.

The location might be a little difficult to find on Google since this is tucked in a side street(which happened to us) but thankfully they have a board displayed in the main street but you would only be able to see it during the day.

Ubers would be reluctant to get into the street due to them being narrow/congested for pickup/dropoff so you might want to account for a 2 min walk from/to the main street.

Tip to guests: This hotel also operated as Anandlok Inn as well so you might want to check prices between the 2 to get a deal.

Tip to hotel: Please request the hotel staff to not smoke during shifts. Everytime we asked for room service, there would be a lingering smoking smell in the room...

I should start with positive things, so check in was smooth and I loved the behaviour of owner and front desk.||In first look you'll find everything OK but once I have started seeing things closely, it was really horrible and after a decade I got a hotel like this.||Used bed sheets with lot of hairs on that, torn, dirty and pathetic condition of towel. However after request they have changed both the things. WiFi was working fine and above average.||I would suggest female and family travellers to avoid this hotel, seriously....
