Hotel City Max — Hotel in New Delhi

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I arrived with a confirmed booking that was supposed to be paid upon arrival, only to be met by Artis (staff) demanding double the price of my reservation. She claimed it was due to “commission,” even though my booking clearly showed the correct price. I showed her proof, but she refused to honor it and kept insisting I pay more.

I asked for a manager to resolve the situation, and she said the manager was in a meeting at 8 PM—seriously? Instead of providing a solution, she just dismissed me. To make matters worse, I couldn’t even cancel the booking because we would still be charged online via credit card.

This hotel is nothing but a scam preying on tourists, trying to extort extra money upon check-in. I lost so much time dealing with their dishonesty and unprofessionalism, and it completely ruined my experience.

This is a scam, the hotel is advertised on booking and other platforms as “hotel prime city maxx. A family hotel nearby IGI airport” - a 4 stars hotel with gym. Instead is on a loud street, doesn’t even offer toilet paper. It does not anything to do with the luxurious pictures posted on booking. First of all, the street the hotel is situated is very loud, so be prepared to wake up feeling that you are sleeping in the middle of the street. Whole room had a hard smell of cigarette, as if somebody smoked there with closed doors for a week. Everything is dirty from the floor to the blanket and pillows. Additionally, do not expect a clean bathroom. Pick-up is included as per booking, they are not even not picking you up, you are lucky if anybody will pick up your call. The address on booking.com is wrong and it is really a challenge to find the hotel in maps, since in booking it has one name while in practice is a different one. 0 stars. Broken TV. Dirty bed sheets and pillow cases. Dirty toilet/ sink. Was supposed to be charge 1,100 ruppees but the scammers charged me 4,600 ruppees on arrival. Lazy people, declined to give a bottle of water in the beginning- said we could have one at breakfast and when the tv was broken he initially said they would replace that in the morning too. Well guess what? I was gone in the morning. Only reason why I didn’t leave at that moment was because I was exhausted from 8 hour flight. I should have left I didn’t even sleep anyways. Most horrible hotel experience of my life. Too bad the lowest stars I can give is 1. If I could give negative 10 I would.
