A Delightful Family Retreat at Franco Tamil Villas, Pondy - A 5/5 Experience!

Our recent one-night family stay at Franco Tamil Villas in Pondicherry was absolutely superb, and we can't recommend it enough! We booked three rooms and from start to finish, the experience was truly five-star.

First off, the rooms themselves were excellent. Each was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essential amenities we needed – a kettle, ample drinking water, quality toiletries, and tea/coffee sachets. It made settling in feel very comfortable and convenient.

What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional staff. Every single team member we encountered was incredibly courteous and genuinely friendly. Their attentiveness made a real difference; they were quick to help with luggage, and we particularly appreciated their assistance in getting us safely inside during a heavy rain shower. The flexibility they showed by allowing us an extra 45 minutes beyond the standard check-out time was also a huge help and very much appreciated. Their service truly elevated our stay.

Dining at the on-site Madhura restaurant was another highlight. We enjoyed a truly delicious and hearty lunch, with standout dishes like the fish kulambu, rice, rasam, and curd, alongside a tasty biriyani with sides. The breakfast spread was also very decent and flavorful. Kudos to the chef and the entire kitchen staff for such wonderful culinary offerings!

The pool area was undoubtedly the star attraction for our family. It's a decent size, the water was sparkling clean, and both the kids and adults had an absolute blast, splashing around and enjoying the refreshing dip. It was a perfect way to unwind and create some fun memories.

Beyond the facilities, the hotel's ambience is simply beautiful. The Chettinadu style architecture is captivating, and the abundant green cover throughout the property creates a serene and inviting atmosphere. It truly feels like a tranquil oasis.

The location is also a significant plus. We discovered an art village nearby, which offers a unique shopping experience, and it's fantastic to know that Pondy tourism operates Mangrove boating within walkable distance. These local attractions add even more value to a stay here.

Overall, our family loved every moment at Franco Tamil Villas. It was a fantastic stay, offering comfort, great food, excellent facilities, and outstanding service. We wholeheartedly give it a 5/5 rating and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting...

This property is located a bit away from the city center, which makes it calm and noise-free. The surroundings are well maintained with gardens, and nearby attractions such as an art gallery, wild life gallery and boating add to the experience. The staffs were polite and friendly.

The room itself was decent for a stay. However, upon check-in, the washroom had a bad odor and was cleaned only after we requested it. Even though the room was cleaned, dust and hairs were still visible around the corners, and mopping was done only after we demanded it—something that should have been a standard practice.

Breakfast, provided as complimentary, was decent but room service requires significant improvement. The taste was ok.

The most concerning aspect was the overall service management. Plates, bowls, and garbage left outside the room were not cleared for more than a day, creating a very poor impression. Not sure who is responsible for clearing these the house keeping or the room service. Even after informing, the items were moved and stored in another room, where several unwashed service items had piled up, emitting a foul smell.

Additionally, a proper car parking facility would be highly beneficial. Currently, vehicles are left outside, which not only led to bird droppings on the car but also raises safety concerns such as the presence of rats or other animals/persons damaging the vehicles. A sheltered and secure parking space would greatly improve guest experience.

Overall, the location and ambience are good, but serious attention is needed on cleanliness, service quality, and parking arrangements to make this place truly worth...
