Townhouse Haibowal Chowk — Hotel in Punjab

STAY AWAY FROM THIS OYO PROPERTY IN LUDHIANA.

I booked this hotel through OYO from 1st to 8th May, with full advance payment. But my experience was an absolute nightmare.

The hotel had severe electricity problems – power kept going on and off every 5 minutes, day and night. We couldn’t sleep, couldn’t rest, and it made the entire stay unbearable. After tolerating this for 3 days, we were forced to check out early on 4th May.

I contacted OYO customer care multiple times asking for a refund for the unused days, but all I’ve received are false promises and copy-paste replies like:

"We’re checking."

"The ground staff is not reachable."

"We’ll get back to you soon."

No one ever got back. The hotel staff was unresponsive, and the whole system felt like a scam after taking our money.

I’m writing this review so that others don’t suffer like we did. OYO’s support is completely unreliable, and they don’t care once the money is in their hands.

I demand a refund for the days I didn’t stay (4th to 8th May).

Rooms: Rooms are spacious, with attached washrooms, they look good, the conditions of washrooms are pathetic, water clogging in each washrooms was a prominent problem, apart from that basin pots were leaking 24/7, at night I saw rats crawling in the washrooms. We stayed for 4 days and there were no cleaning in the rooms, I have seen black worms crawling in the washroom. When you ask for cleaning they will give u a time but will never clean.

Service: staff is too lazy to even walk, we stayed there for a wedding almost 30 person, everytime we had to ask for food to be served faster as the catering staff was too slow.

Location: location was the best part as its connected to road where you can get autos and cabs, main markets are nearby.

Highly not recommended to stay here if you love hygienic environment. Coz this place does not take care of...

The initial interaction with the unprofessional front office staff was disappointing and unwelcoming. Upon entering the room, the flickering light was immediately noticeable and irritating, hindering any attempt to settle in. The constant, loud noise emanating from the air conditioning unit made restful sleep seem impossible. Furthermore, a visible layer of dust covered various surfaces, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. The absence of a garbage bag in the dustbin was a basic oversight that felt unhygienic. This combination of unprofessionalism, malfunctioning amenities, and poor cleanliness created a truly embarrassing and uncomfortable experience.
