V. The Raajsa Experience Front Office • Rajdeep Singh Deora – Front Office Manager with 22 years at Taj, a thorough professional and a gracious host. We are grateful for his gesture of upgrading us to a pool villa during our extended stay. • Tarun – Son of an Army officer, he greeted us warmly and ensured we felt at home. • Himanshu – Attentive and sharp. Remembered us from his time at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida, even recalling our car from a past visit.
Food & Beverage • Prashant Suryavanshi – Sous Chef An automobile engineer turned culinary master with over two decades of experience. Learning about our very specific dietary restrictions (no wheat, maida, rice, sugar, or milk products), he crafted personalised meals twice daily—none of which were on the standard menu. Everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and beautifully presented. • Kailas Mali – F&B Manager A privilege to converse with someone who has served dignitaries such as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi, and Ratan Tata. His loyalty and discipline towards Taj are exemplary. • Krishna ji & Gopal ji – Chefs Took special care in preparing our meals and personally attended to us. • Purshottam, Tapas, Abhilash & Priyaksha ( Restaurant Staff ) Always smiling, attentive to details—even ensuring our personal utensils (which we carry) were handled with care and respect.

Buggy service - Excellent
IT Support • Rajeshwar – IT Manager Resolved a major network connectivity issue in our villa, staying late into the night until everything was fixed. His dedication was commendable.

Read moreWe stayed at Raajsa Resort, Kumbhalgarh for 2 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. While the property is scenic and rooms are beautifully maintained, our experience was marred by service lapses, miscommunication between teams, and a serious safety incident. A special mention to Mr. Rajdeep from the management who handled things well when escalated. But overall, there’s significant room for improvement in coordination and guest safety.
Detailed Review:
We booked directly with the resort over email, and the reservation team offered us a complimentary one-level room upgrade for one night — a kind gesture we appreciated.
Upon arrival, we checked in around 3 PM. The room was beautifully decorated for my wife’s birthday — a thoughtful surprise, though the greeting was mistakenly addressed to me instead of her, showing a slight lack of attention to detail.
Dining Experience & Booking Confusion: Our package included breakfast and dinner, but during our first night’s buffet, the restaurant manager asked us to sign a bill. Apparently, their system did not reflect our meal inclusions. When we tried resolving this at the front desk, the reservation staff wasn’t available, and we were asked to wait until morning. The restaurant manager, Mr. Abdul, insisted we sign the bill and was quite rude even after explaining the situation. We expected more professionalism, especially given we were staying another night.
Room Upgrade & Further Missteps: Next morning, we were supposed to move to a private pool villa. The front desk continued to claim our booking included only breakfast, despite us having written proof. After some back and forth, Mr. Rajdeep intervened. He initially offered to waive off the previous night’s dinner cost but insisted the second dinner would be chargeable. After calmly explaining the communication trail and our booking documents, he resolved the issue and updated the system accordingly — appreciated.
When inspecting our upgraded room, we found another guest inside the private pool area — an awkward and unpleasant experience. We were promptly shifted to another villa with more privacy, but this showed a clear lack of access control.
Adding to the confusion, our luggage was mistakenly moved out to the resort’s exit area, instead of the new room — despite us specifically informing reception to transfer it to the next room. The luggage was brought back, but one of our personal items (a water bottle) was misplaced. Again, a clear reflection of poor coordination between housekeeping, reception, and concierge staff.
Safety Hazard: The most alarming incident occurred just before checkout. While taking a shower, the glass door of the bathroom shattered without warning. The glass exploded into granules, causing minor injuries to both me and my wife. Thankfully, nothing serious — but it could have been a major accident. The resort promptly arranged a doctor, and Mr. Rajdeep personally ensured we were taken care of, which we truly appreciate. However, for a premium Taj-managed property, the quality of fittings — especially something as sensitive as bathroom glass — was shockingly below standard and lacked even basic safety layering (like Teflon coating).
Final Verdict: Raajsa is undeniably a beautiful property with scenic surroundings, well-maintained rooms, and a peaceful ambience. However, the operational lapses, lack of team coordination, and serious safety issue we experienced dampened our stay. Staff like Mr. Rajdeep showed great intent, but systemic gaps need urgent fixing — especially for a brand that carries the Taj legacy.
Would we return? Possibly — if we’re assured of better safety standards and smoother...
Read moreWhen we plan a holiday to celebrate the precious movement of life with our life partner, the worst situation is when hotel management spoils everything very crudely.
I am sharing the worst experience of our lives.
On July 13, we booked two rooms, Room no - 1004 and 910 in Raajsa Resort at Kumbhalgarh to celebrate our anniversary. On the same day, we requested an extra bed in Room 910 at the time of check-in. But Nobody will come till night, then we go for dinner in the resort only.
When we got back from dinner, we were surprised to see that an extra bed was there in our absence, and without our permission, we did not receive a call or confirmation before entering the room. All the stuff, like bags, clothes, and wallets, lies openly. We immediately called reception to ask if anyone could enter the room without their permission. The receptionist said, No, sir we don't have any idea let us check and revert back to you. After 10 min we again call to reception and got same reply then we immediately asked the hotel senior management staff to come and meet in room, but we did not get any reply from reception.
After waiting for half an hour, we directly reached the reception desk for further justification. And one person ( Mr. Tarkeshwar) we meet on the way to reception. We asked him about the matter, and he replied yes. Then we asked, Can you enter the room without guest permission?
We were surprised after listening to his answer; his reply was yes, we can enter as per our resort norms. We asked, Do you have anything in writing or in our bookings, or anywhere in the hotel industry norms? He replied no. He changed his statement and replied, "Yes, we can enter the room without permission it's a universal clause. Then we asked the higher authority to call immediately to visit there. He replied, Wait till morning.
He again changed his statement that it's a procedure we can enter into the room after three knocks without permission. He said we can call to police for this matter. We again politely said to call higher authority immediately.
We also put an example in front of him: if my wife and child are sleeping in the room and after your three times knocks no one wakes up, can you enter the room again? He said yes. We were sitting there till 11.30 pm, and after that, some people from higher management ( Mr. Singh) came there. He listened to everything but did not take any action or write an apology. After the multiple discussions, he finally agreed to write an apology letter before our check out. But when we met in the morning, he was treated like anything, and there was no response from the Raajsa Resort Management side. After these all we got assurance to get apology letter on mail but till date we haven't received any mail from Raajsa management even they are not bothered to attend our calls or give any reply on watsapp.
We do not recommend this property for a visit.
Staff is so arrogant and food also not good room service were pathetic.
I am completely not happy at all.
And will not suggest to visit in...
