There is no room service. No meals or even tea/coffee are provided. AT ALL. The TV has only Youtube, and that too keepa buffering and is no use.
This place is only meant for stay, and you have to eat all yoir meals, and have tea-coffe etc out in the market. Note: there's no decent eating joint nearby, so it's a fair ten minute walk the restaurants in the market.
There was only one staff member found who does everything. The reception desk remains mostly unattended, and one has to hunt around to find the staff.
The original property is pretty, and looks old. However the rooms let out to guests are new.
The gentleman who answers the phone number listed is a bit strange. He answered my call the first time, and offered me the room and was supposed to send me the QR code for making the advance payment. However after that despite repeated requests made twice on the phone he did not send me the QR code, and thereafter he completely stopped answering my calls. He didn't even return my calls or respond to my text message. I was left with no option but to reach the property the next day, and then request for a room. Thankfully they didn't turn me away.
The geyser didn't work, but was got repaired at my request.
The property is located very close to Triveni Ghat. A 2 minute walk. I was able to attend the Ganga aarti in the evening very conveniently after a short walk there.
Although the price paid by me included breakfast, however I was informed that the breakfast would be served only after 8:00 a.m., and so I had to forgo the breakfast because I had to start off early, by 6.15 am. I wasn't even offered tea.
The property is neat and clean yes. Location is the biggest plus point. But lack of service + lack of food was a bother. And the peculiar behaviour of the gent on the phone, as described above was decidedly odd. However i bear them no ill-will. I am only describing what actually happened, without any false statements, and without any malice in my heart. I do hope that the owner of the property reads my review and understands that I am being very fair to them by describing my...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Guru Homestay in Rishikesh, and it was an experience worth sharing.
Location & Accessibility Situated just a short walk from Triveni Ghat, the homestay boasts a prime location that's both peaceful and centrally located. It's nestled on Old Post Office Road, making it easily accessible to major attractions, local markets, and eateries. The proximity to the ghat allowed me to partake in the evening aarti without the hassle of transportation.
Accommodation & Amenities The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. Each room comes equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with hot water. I particularly appreciated the free Wi-Fi with good speed and the availability of an electric kettle, which added to the convenience.
The property also features a lovely terrace and garden area, perfect for morning yoga or evening relaxation. Additionally, a minimal amount of paid private parking is available on-site, which is a significant advantage in this area.
Hospitality & Service The host and staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. From the moment I arrived, they ensured that all my needs were met promptly. Their local recommendations enhanced my Rishikesh experience, guiding me to some hidden gems around the city.
Value for Money Considering the location, amenities, and quality of service, Guru Homestay offers excellent value for money. It's an ideal choice for solo travelers, couples, and families seeking a homely atmosphere without compromising on comfort.

Both Mr. And Mrs. Joshi will keep asking out of concern if you need anything. I didn't feel like I am a tourist, i felt like i already belong to this place from so long. Thank you so much Mr. Joshi to make me feel like your own younger brother. Lots of love to both your kids, they are genuinely damn cute. Hats of to Sunil as well who works there as assistant, he helped us with booking rickshaw to Rishikesh Bus stand.
