Garh Bhoj Restaurant- Authentic Pahadi Food — Restaurant in Rishikesh

Now I am adding few more lines in my review after receiving a reply from the owner Of the restaurant.

The owner mentioned in his reply that we had dinner at there and has Our photos. I am surprised with this answer... Because we didn't have food after this disrespectful behavior by the owner. I was an impression that he was just a staff but he was the owner who did this disrespectful behavior.

This incident was happened on Saturday, September 02, 2023. Obviously they might have our photos having food there In our previous visit but not from this visit.....

It seems owner has replied my review in hurry to control damage without doing any homework and investigating anything ....

We visited this restaurant with family so many times in the past and staff was good enough. But in our last visit we have seen that now staff is changed and have no service ethics.

We had settled down in one table after checking with staff. We were about to order our food. In the meantime the same staff came at table and said you stand up from here and seat somewhere else. He forced us to go somewhere else. It's never happened anywhere with us. We couldn't understand why they did this and force us to shift somewhere else once we settled down. Due to this behavior of the staff, we were very upset and went out to another restaurant for dinner. We found a good place for dining out in Rishikesh.

So guys please think before going to this restaurant as there are so many other options available who gives...

I went rishikesh on 23 march and was residing nearby in a hotel..... Since I was not a local so I decided to find out the review of restaurant..... Garhboj review were good so I choose to be there..,. Outer look was amazing and seems to be some standard restaurant ..... Real game start from there.... I was with my wife and friend..... We asked for afhani chaap, mushroom do pyaza and chapati and jeera rice......literally the chaap was so bad... Never expected such thing from this good looking restaurant..... I thought this may be mistake but the mushroom was having no salt,..... Taste bad.....similarly tawa roti was not available and that tandoori roti which they claimed that it will be soft was too horrible.... Rice was little bit okay better than other items.... In the end we ask for gulab jamun.... This was the deciding factor.... Never eaten such a bad dish like gulab jamun like ever.... Moreover their services were too bad... Nobody was really bothered to ask for the order.... Tissue paper at the table were not present.... Nobody asking for water..... Prices of food were high far from the food standard....... Lastly I would recommend that please don't go for good review that Google is showing bcoz my personal experience...

Service First: Despite having only two tables to serve, we waited over 50 minutes—yes, FIFTY—for our food. To add to the frustration, they even brought us the wrong dishes! It’s clear where their focus lies: online food delivery. So if you’re planning a dine-in, forget it! They don’t care about their in-house customers, and it shows.

Now, the Food: Brace yourself for disappointment. They might ignore you, no matter how politely you ask. We asked for just a single roti, and it took them over 20 additional minutes (on top of the already excruciating 50-minute wait). And honestly, the taste? Lacking. It’s like they’re not even trying.

Ambiance? The Only Saving Grace: The place has decent decor. But I wouldn’t recommend a place just for that. You can’t eat ambiance, after all!

Bottom Line: Spare yourself the terrible experience and check out the nearby...
