Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. We were there for 2 days and the experience was terrible. The room size is ok. We had to change our room thrice as the first time the main door lock was broken. They changed to another room and there the AC didn't work...the third room they allocated had termite dust falling from the roof on the bed and finally at 11pm someone at the reception after prolonged waiting gave us another Room. Morning there was no water in the bathroom and the flush didn't work due to the air formation. On informing it was attended to. The receptionist lady is the worst that I have come across. Most uncooperative. The breakfast First day Puri sabzi and vermicelli with Veggies. Bread with local made margarine. Cutting chai n coffee The boiled eggs we ordered had to pay Rs 100 per plate. The second day breakfast Upma and idli sambhar. With a Tea urn kept for self-service. The 1 star that I have given is for the room service staff and the houseboy who I must say is more attentive than anyone there. Guests coming on a holiday need to relax n not deal with such annoying things. We did meet the manager on the first day who greeted in his boxer shorts n TShirt at our breakfast table ....all he could say was " Sorry, but we have been closed since the carona began 2 years ago that is why we are facing these issues". The A la Carte...
Read moreIt was a spontaneous trip for four of us. Three of my friends and I decided to have a get away and our fingers pointed at Andamans. We were concerned about our stay bcuz it is a busy month for the islands as the tourists season has begun and we didn't want to pay a fortune for just a couple of days stay. We discovered Hotel Blue Marlin, located in Dollygunj, it had good reviews from other travellers too so we zeroed at Marlin. It's located 15-20 mins drive from airport, just by the road so you can't miss it. It's also walk able distance from the market plc so you in case you packed in a hurry and forgot some travel vitals you can just stroll down to purchase knick knacks. Marlin's rooms are spacious, linens were clean and crisp, 24/7 water supply. What we cherished the most was the attitude of staffs and delicious food. Staffs were very friendly and even hooked us up with locals for our private sight seeing which actually turned out to be cheaper and efficient. Our a-la carte favourite was the lobster dish (forgetting the name) though a bit pricey but it's worth down to every bite of it. We might have been lucky as the management offered us 20% discount on our total bill, yet we're eligible for 15% off on our next stay. Thus, ek aur trip banta hai. I strongly suggest the Marlin Experience... As we like to...
Read morePlease read this if you are taking a Holiday package from OYO or Welcome to Andaman Travels.
Took a premium holiday package from OYO, and they gave me this hotel, this hotel is like an ordinary hotel, you can not say this is a premium property, rooms are so small, like some budget hotels usually OYO offers in other cities. Breakfast is not at all hygienic, at the name of premium they are making customers fools, they have limited options like bread and butter, tea or coffee, some paratas etc.... Rooms are not upto the mark, not even deserve to give 1 single star.
I took a package from OYO and after too much quarrels with their executive they forced us to stay in this hotel, and the person from welcome andaman travels Mr. Nawaz's behavior is the worst. When I said this hotel's room are so small he told me in a arrogant way to count the tiles on the flore, and that person put our checkin on hold, when we reach at hotel, the receptionist said that we are not allowed to check in, means, really, they have all the power to destroy your holiday, your mood, and will torcher you mentally.
It's my suggestion, if you are looking this hotel to have a stay, or being directed here by any package provider, please don't think about this zero star deserving hotel.
This will save you the mental trauma by which I have...
