Hotel The King's — Hotel in South Andaman Island

I just loved the stay at kings...we were a large group of 17 along with 2 kids...the staff handled everything very nicely ... including food at time. Our plan was breakfast complimentary. When we had to leave to Havelock the next day early 5 in the morning they said they will prepare bread jam since the kitchen wouldn't open until 6 am. but Our group had more than 5 diabetic people and we said we cannot take bread jam. To my surprise they had our hot aloo parathas ready and packed by 5.00 am and gave it to us...i don't think no other hotel would have done this..They also gave my kid packed lunch free of cost at the day of departure. All the staff are really friendly and helpful Also we always had food on time despite the fact that we are a large group n we took a large time to place the order .they did not compromise on quality n taste as well. Food was yummy.we didn't have to wait at the table for so long as compared to stay at Havelock.

The rooms are super clean and maintained properly.Rooms are spacious enuf too..they provide almirah with some hangers, a mini fridge, a dressing table n a large mirror, water n glasses, toiletries like shampoo, moisturizer, soap and body wash, towels and all ..24:hours hot water is also there.The hotel had LIFT facility which was the one i felt most important in Andamans.Most f the hotels had only stairs n no rooms would be there at ground floor which made it difficult for elderly people. The manager shambu is a very welcoming n helping guy..He is there to help u with everything. He is localite n he knows every thing about the island very well..may it be the ferry time, tourist locations, market places, taxi people..u name it...he will help. I'm so grateful to the staff of kings hotel for making our stay happy n memorable .We all had a really wonderful time together at kings..I would highly recommend this to all who look for a budget friendly yet a great stay all together...please go...

We were moved to this hotel because our booking with another place did not materialize as expected. Some staff are very good while others are just rude and clueless. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, but the water is terrible. It is brown and non-usable. So, you have to use bottled water of your own to wash your face and brush your teeth. Shower in that filthy water is impossible. So, you can not stay here for more than 24 hours. That is what probably people do, and we did not know that. We were stuck here for two days. The kitchen staff are useless and rude. The breakfast is limited with choice. The room service is not prompt. Our order for dinner was served after two hours. The chef does not know how to cook. He cooked chicken biryani and chicken curry for us. In both dishes he had put deep fried chicken pieces. The biryani was practically fried rice mixed with deep fried chicken, while the chicken masala was gravy mixed deep fried chicken. Even the tea they serve is useless and expensive. You can get very traditional tea 50 meters off from the hotel for one-eighth of the price you pay at this hotel. The hotel forbids you from bringing food from outside. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity of this hotel. So, you have to take a taxi or auto to go to the nearest restaurant for lunch and dinner, if you want to avoid this hotel's chef's food. The water dispensers kept on every floor are not cleaned and is full with algal crust on the bottom tank.I am sure people go here because their stay at this hotel has been chosen by someone else. I will never recommend anyone to go...

Friendly management. Excellent food. All the food that we tried during our stay were delicious. I loved their super soft rotti. The room was spacious. We stayed in a room with 3 beds. The placement of the third bird could be improved as there was no fluent air flow there. They didn't have kettle and other complementary tea or coffee powders. The toilet was clean and had a geyser for hot water. We booked the room with breakfast and dinner included in the package. They didn't provide us buffet option due to limited availability of guests. They had few options available and asked us to choose the quantity from that and inform them prior. They prepare the food and give us a call. We can go to the restaurant and they serve the food there. They also refilled the dishes if we ask for more. Their WiFi is super fast and the signal reception is great in all places. They also have a decent parking space for bikes and cars, and if you are planning to commute on your own vehicle you need not...
