Brookevalley Palace Homestay — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We stayed at Brookevalley Palace for two nights as a group of 16 people across five families. Initially, we had planned to stay just one night, but after experiencing the comfort and cleanliness of the place, we happily extended our stay by another night.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious — home-cooked with no added colors or packaged masalas. Even the fried rice was made without any added MSG (Ajinomoto), which we truly appreciated. It was a perfect choice for our family group.

A special mention to Shiny, the Caretaker Manager — extremely polite, always with a smiling face, and truly down to earth. She went above and beyond by arranging toy train tickets for us from Coonoor to Ooty. What surprised us the most was that she personally came to the railway station to hand over the tickets. That level of care was completely unexpected and heartwarming.

The location is perfect, with all the major Coonoor sightseeing spots nearby. We also thoroughly enjoyed the bonfire and BBQ night — it was a memorable experience for all of us.

A Truly Memorable Stay – Felt Just Like Home!

We had a truly memorable stay at this place—everything was absolutely superb! The rooms were very clean and cleaned linen, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished, which made our visit even more special.

A heartfelt thank you to Shiny, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and ensured all our needs were met with a warm smile. She also organized a wonderful Jeep safari, trekking experience, and a visit to the tribal village—each activity was well-planned and truly worth our time. It was simply perfect!

A special mention to Chef Sridevi, who prepared a few custom vegetarian options for us outside of the regular menu. Her cooking was authentic, homely, and very tasty. While the vegetarian variety could be slightly expanded, the quality and freshness of the food were outstanding—every dish we tried was delicious.

We also want to thank Anu, who was very kind and welcoming—he even spent time playing with our child, which made us feel truly cared for. The entire team made us feel like we were staying with family.

Our stay at Brokevalley Palace Homestay in Coonoor was nothing short, but magical! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by lShiny and the staff Butu and Reena, who made us feel like family. Their kindness and attentiveness truly made our experience special.

The homestay itself is a peaceful haven, surrounded with an beautiful garden and the view of nature. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully maintained, ensuring absolute comfort.

And the home-cooked meals—delicious and made with so much love—added to the homely charm.

We also explored some incredible sights nearby, including Dolphin’s Nose and Sim’s Park and welington hidden valley, all of which left us in awe with their beauty. Waking up to fresh mountain air and serene landscapes was a dream come true. Also they had organised the toy train ticket which was un excepted, thank you once again to Shiny.
