Hotel O Katpadi Vellore formerly Leo's Home Stay — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

One of the worst hotel pls do not even book this hotel by default or if they give it for free also.

I had booked this hotel on 14th September 2021and when we visited the property it was locked and I stood close to 10 minutes ringing the door bell and when contacted through customer care the Leo's home stay incharge said us to wait for 15 minutes and said he has come out we waited for almost 30 minutes and he never turned around to the property and also did not call back us and again when tried contacting the incharge it did not connect and we had to return back without checking in the hotel and to my fate I had requested auto driver to wait and I was lucky to travel In the same auto in search of different hotel.

The road are in bad condition and without GPS you will not be able to find the hotel as the GPS will end before 100 meter from the hotel

In case of emergency if you require anything urgent like paste, soap, coffee, tea or medicine there are no shop around you have to travel to the main road which is about 1 km roughly

4 when we had visited the property for check in it was around 6.05 pm and the oyo leo's home stay was closed and we were waiting outside and there were hundred of mosquito biting and sucking our blood and also after dark there are no sufficient light and If you require help there are no one to help us or guide us

Once you are locked in the hotel if you want cab auto than you have walk to the main road taking right and left from the street and need to catch auto or cab as in the city their we won't get ola or uber facility

So request you not to take your family along to this hotel if the hotel is locked than you have difficulty in carrying luggage and family in the unknown city and you have do booking in the other hotel with any option and to the hoteliers price

I have lodged a complaint through mail to oyo hotel / Goibibo as I had booked through them and also I have not checked in the hotel when I said them about my incident they were sorry I demanded for refund they straight away deined and refused saying the amount cannot be refunded which I am fighting for it to get my refund

So request you all never waste your hard-earned money in booking this...

I booked this place through OYO because I had one last examination at VIT for my final semester after 6 months of working on my final year project from another university. First off, they lied about the accessibility to VIT as you can clearly see how bad the roads are. The auto driver said it's been like that since years and never repaired. The mud slurry is atleast a feet deep in certain areas and there's no higher ground to navigate the way without stepping on it. They lied about auto charge, as no auto driver was willing to charge less than ₹350. They said ₹200 would be enough for Katpadi-homestay. Even their own known auto driver charged more than ₹200 because the roads are bad (why is that my fault and why must I bother?). I was told by the home stay manager that walk to the bus stop was merely 750meters. In reality it was 1.6kms and most of the roads are so bad that you'll end up taking a longer route. And the most annoying bit: i already pre-paid and booked my room but they offered me to stay at the owners room in my first night because no room was vacant. I wasn't provided with a blanket for that night. I had to shift in the morning for which I needed to delay an appointment at VIT and travel in the afternoon heat. Don't stay here unless you have you're willing to spend thousands on auto / you have your own Vehicle. The rooms were nice but bathroom taps didn't have any...

I was unable to reach the hotel due to bad roads. The hotel manager is a cheat. He said he will give a refund and told me to book another room at 12:30 in the night. After I had to arrange some accommodation for my family, this person says that I should have come to his hotel using Google maps.

Please do not trust this person.

I also raised a complaint with OYO. But the OYO area manager seems to be a local person who is in touch with the hotel manager and he immediately closed down my complaint saying that there is no road issue. You can clearly see in the other reviews as well that this is not the case.
