Hotel Saradharam — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

From childhood many times I stayed in Saradharam with family. But this time I regret by booking this hotel. Premises poorly managed ie.,(1) Lift got suspended and it took sometime to get this fixed till such my family need to stay back in allotted floor and this caused delay in our travel plan (2) Room (304) was warm when I checked in and they said due to off peak season room was not occupied hence AC not switchedon. We checked in and left in half an hour for temple visit. So not observed ac working or not. Post returnbat 9pm we were waiting for 45 mins but no cooling and housekeeping guy checked and informed it should work now ...wait for 10 to 15 mins if not we will allot some other room. We were extremely tired and air flow was there initially so we slept ..my aged mother wokeup at 11.30pm and somehow managed to sleep from 12.15. I woke up around 12.45 completely drenched in sweat and tried to chk settings again but nothing helpful. With aged mother, young kid really had tough time. We planned to wakeup 5am and start our temple visit but plan gone for a toss..night 1am went down and spoke to room service and the attender they agreed to shift and gave another room. Here another twist AC working so we got in with things and tried to catch-up our left sleep by 2am room was frozen. Then we realised AC remote battery was not functioning. We stopped AC and slept with fan. Rooms are pretty old and room first allotted balcony stinking. We cancelled our morning temple plan. For this poor room paid INR 3,920. Best part is right from Manager to junior guy none taken ownership of the issue. Their staff put the blame on "electronic products are always like this" as if I am using it for first time Manager not even apologised for all these drama and just noding the head .. poor customer service and money minded..OVERALL TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH...

Worst hotel : do not waste your money . I do not have option to rate minus or i would have given minus star.

Reasons : booked this room ticket through MMT one week for part of navagraha darshana and chidambaram temple.

I left from kumbokonam to chidambaram on my way i was visiting few navagrah temple . Out 2 mob phones, large screen for google routes and another one for calls. I kept my mobile in car and went to darshana and when i came back they where 4 miss calls at 10 am from this hotel saradharam.

I called them back and they are asking whether you are comming or not. After teaching hotel check in time 12 pm check in time. They made us to wait 45 mins reason cleaning. Will this hotel agree if we extended , instead calling us why they did not clean.

Reason2 : gate and view is blocked by petrol bunk and buses and opposite busstand buses cover gate caysing traffic jam and not allow hotel ppl to come inside the gate through car in evening. No security guard to clear the obstacles.

Reason 3 : water heater. There is NO WATER HEATER . Tirumala turupathi 100 rs room are better than this. We have to wait upto 6 am for hot water. Please tel me when ppl are travelling from place to another place and big temple like chidambaram to avoid RUSH. who will wait upto 6 am. Even if you wait. Hot water arrived after 6.40 am. Since water needs to get heated up in respective heaters. They need to switch by 4 am atleast.

We have gone to eat in this place @ Pallavi restaurant. Very convenient place if you would like to hang out inside the city. Very good parking space, easy wheel chair accessibility to hotel but not to restaurant. Very friendly staffs, good place to have food during your travel. Place is little decent to eat but not comfortable. Food is kind of ok. you can eat for your hunger but not to treat your taste bud. They guy who took us to restaurant informed us upfront say, this is good place to eat in the area, it will not accept your stomach, no guarantee in other restaurants. So that way we are safe. But really quality is ok but not tasty, but the price is higher than chennai chains may be because of the tourist area. Meals I was not able to taste the food and eat, I just filled my stomach and the soup is not good at all. Fried rice seems to be ok. But for sure I am ready to take risk and visit other restaurant if I get chance to go again to Chidambaram. They can actually do good because they have everything nice location, staff, easy access to quality groceries, very spacious place, etc. I dont know the reason why such poor food & can maintain the place little neat and provide...
