ooty Ooty — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Just top up on my previous review and reply to owners response.

1st thing 1st check in at 1PM as advised but when we arrived there it was not ready, bathroom was dirty and found hair on the bathroom floor. 2nd no drinking water available, no coffee or tea was offered And the worst part in the colour of the water brown which made us not use for any purpose

Even when we washed our face we used our own water which we carried. To be more clear we carried close to 30ltrs of drinking water which helped us

Let's get back to the facilities Kitchen was so so dirty which made us not use it for any purpose. For all this facility we paid 14000 for 9 people when we tried explaining this tried to negotiate aon the final payment. They were very clear on one point that the stay was confirmed for 14k and they could not give any discount, fair no complaints on that it was our mistake we agreed about the cost.

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING - This is a rundown, tacky and filthy place. Dirty rooms, old blankets and seedy bathrooms with broken fittings and dirty water supply. The water tank got empty and took hours to be supplied by tanker again while we were there (The woman/owner will tell you to wait for water, however long it will take, as Ooty has a water problem and if you don't like that you can vacate without a refund, in the middle of the night) The main building is a fire hazard too with old cheap carpeting and wooden paneling everywhere, including the fireplaces and is actually not fit for habitation and would have been sealed by the health or safety dept in any other place. The 'A' cabins are a con too. Cramped sheet roof and pipe structures. This property is located on the lower side of the main road so constant traffic jams and noise right till night. A horrible place run by a horrible person. The 2 staff people are pleasant which is the only nice thing...

One night stay here had ruined the entire happiness of our trip. Rooms are not suitable for families and ladies. Bathroom were not good enough (also not safe enough) and no proper geyser was there. The muddy water (yellow color) stopped us from using the bathroom. No privacy was there. The staffs were walking through us and were around us while we were engaging in any activities (can't blame them...they didnt have a proper place to accommodate themselves). No wifi was there, the television was not working, no space was there for any outdoor activities. Rats were running on the roofs of the room. The kitchen was so badly maintained that we won't be taking any...
