*This is a review of Spice Inn which is part of Orange Pekoe. I was hiking in the area, so I decided to try the food at the restaurant. I usually whiz past the place whenever I'm on a bus heading to Ooty or returning from there. The exterior looks inviting and modern, and it's on the Ooty/Coonoor main road, so it has the location going for it. I dropped in on a rainy day around 1:30 PM and there were only 2 other customers. The dining area is quite large, so I chose a corner table with floor-to-ceiling windows. It was nice to watch the heavy rain outside. A waiter brought me the menu, and though it has a lot of options in it, the majority of dishes are Indian or Indo-Chinese offerings. They also don't offer a meal, which is surprising for these parts, and biryani wasn't available though it was on the menu. I chose to get Fried Fish, Aloo Gobi Masala, and a few chapatis. Everything else seemed too expensive or more than I would be able to eat. I checked out the washroom area and found that the toilet was locked. Interesting. Most of the smaller restaurants don't even have toilets in Kotagiri, but this place looked a bit posh, so having locked toilets was unexpected. The food was served quite fast and the fried fish looked delicious. The waiter did tell me that I would get two pieces of fried Catla for Rs. 230. Seafood is usually expensive in restaurants in India, so it's always safer to ask for prices when the menu lists "seasonal" or "based on size" in the menu. The chapatis and potato with cauliflower curry tasted fine. I did notice that some of the potatoes still had their skin on. Pretty weird for Indian restaurants. Though the meal did not seem heavy while eating it, I felt a few kilos heavier after I finished eating. I guess like most restaurants that serve North Indian dishes, a lot of oil was used in the curry. The bill came to Rs. 520, including GST, which is a bit more than I was expecting to pay. I'm not sure if the quality and taste of the food were worth that much.

Restaurant situated on the main road with ample parking space. It was clean, clam and peaceful because it was not crowded at the time we visited. Servers were well trained and waiting time was short. We ordered Chicken stuffed Paratha, pepper chicken, chicken fried rice, hot and crispy fried chicken and a soup which all costed 1000rs. Hot & sour chicken soup - must try in Ooty climate. Chicken stuffed Paratha - was really good , taste and quantity wise no complaints. Pepper chicken - hot and spicy. 😍😋 Chicken pieces were fresh. Hot & crispy fried chicken - it's like chicken 65 but with a little more added spice and crispiness. 🤤😋 Fried rice - as usual good. On the whole good restaurant and must try on the way to Ooty. Not too costly but not too cheap as well. Rooms are also available for stay.

Spice Inn Restaurant Review – 24/05/2025 We visited Spice Inn Restaurant and had a pleasant experience overall. The place offers a big car parking space, which is a huge convenience. The dining hall is spacious and comfortable, making it a good spot for families and groups. The food taste was quite good, especially the Chicken Lollipop, Dragon Chicken, and Crispy Chicken Noodles—all were well-cooked and flavorful. The pricing is reasonable, making it a value-for-money option. One area that could use improvement is the service, which was a bit slow and less attentive than expected. That said, it’s overall a good restaurant to try if you’re in the area. Worth a visit for its ambience and taste!

**Restaurant Name: orange pekoe

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Orange Pekoe and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor and soft lighting that set the perfect mood for a delightful evening.

The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The highlight, of course, was the food. Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef’s creativity and attention to detail were evident in every bite.

We started with the artisan charcuterie board, which featured a delightful selection of cured meats, cheeses, and accompaniments. For the main course, I opted for the pan-seared salmon, which was cooked to perfection and paired with a delectable lemon butter sauce. My partner chose the filet mignon, which was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection.

The dessert menu was equally impressive. We shared the chocolate lava cake, which was rich, decadent, and the perfect ending to our meal.

Culinary Haven is a true gem, offering a dining experience that is both sophisticated and comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a charming setting. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their exquisite menu.

Supplier Review:

**Supplier Name: Dinesh. Ajit and Sasi

I have been sourcing my restaurant’s ingredients from Fresh Orange pekoe for the past year, and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and service they provide. As a chef, the freshness and quality of my ingredients are paramount, and Fresh Harvest consistently delivers on both fronts.

The produce is always fresh and vibrant, with a fantastic selection of both seasonal and staple items. Their meats and seafood are top-notch, sourced from reputable farms and fisheries, ensuring that my dishes are made with the best ingredients possible. The dairy products and specialty items are equally impressive, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

What truly sets Fresh Harvest apart is their exceptional customer service. The team is knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to meet my needs. Deliveries are punctual and well-organized, which helps keep my kitchen running smoothly.

Their commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing is also commendable, aligning with my restaurant’s values and enhancing our overall dining experience.

I highly recommend Fresh Harvest Provisions to any culinary professional looking for a reliable and high-quality supplier. They have been instrumental in helping me maintain the high standards of my restaurant, and I look forward to continuing our partnership for...
