Be aware of the FRAUD of Hotel Cennet (Prayagraj, Civil Lines) in the name of MEMBERSHIP COUPONS. They also gave FAKE BILL with 2 INR amount for two days and instead of executive room mention, they have mentioned standard room on bill. At the time of Check-in they said room will cost 4000 INR and at the time of checking out they said room is for 5000 INR. On google they show 2999 but for membership they are charging MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICE which itself is an act of FOOLING customers . They customer service is fraud as well. Read about my experience below and save yourself from the frauds of this hotel. I stayed in 102 and the environment is not quiet as well. So stay in other hotel if you want to fight and get harassed by the reception.
I checked-in at the hotel for 2 days (30th and 31st May 2024). At night I complained about AC dysfunction twice within the gap of a few hours. On my first complaint, they ignored and on the second complaint they asked me to wait but it didn't work at its capacity the whole night and I put the fan to sleep. On my second night, after returning from work, I complained again after putting AC on for an hour or so and when realised it is not working again, I complained and they first said, it is working and I should wait and when I requested to check again because I had complained earlier as well and this is a known problem, they asked one of their helper to clear the fan of AC in my presence. Anyways it didn't work and I asked for compensation. They first resisted and tried offering me breakfast and also ignored the problem by telling me AC is working and maybe I am confused. After that I realized they are trying to fool me, asked for how much you will discount as neither you are offering me another room which justify the cost I am paying as a customer, neither you tried to repair the AC in my absence. They totally ignored communicating the real cost of the discount. Now at the time of Checking out they increased the price first, said they pass this to me last night about the payment amount, and they were not ready to accept their mistakes. They also said if I have no money, I shouldn't stay in their hotel.
I would request every customer of this hotel to cancel their fraud membership or make them responsible about their services, either drag them in consumer court so that hotel industries don't try to fool people. I had to rush because I had my train to catch. They forcefully asked me to pay the amount as well. As per their first hand conversation, after 50% membership discount, I was supposed to pay 2000 as per 4000 (maximum retail price) with best hotel experience and at the time of checking out they asked me to pay 2500 but after 200 compensation for AC dysfunction they said I have to pay 2300. TV was not working properly. TV remote was not made available despite demand.
One electric socket was not operational inside room.
Basic kits like dental kit, hair oil, sleepers etc. were not available in room. These kits were provided only when demand was raised.
Wooden flooring was defaced.
Lobby was shabby with dumped articles placed there.
Towel stand in bathroom was detaching from wall.
There is a general functionality in hotel industry that if we keep out the room access card from its holder placed inside the room then power supply to such room is automatically put off. Such functionality was not operational and notwithstanding taking away such access card from its holder, power supply to room continued and it actually brings loss to Cennet hotel because power consumption didn’t stop when none was inside the room.
Cover Sheet was not provided despite demand. They had either quilt or blanket but not cover sheet.
Staff sleeps whole night by switching off lights even at reception which causes too low visibility which results in accident. I got injury because of this stupidity and lack of dutifulness of duty staff.

Read moreWe stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely regretted it. The rooms are very small and expensive. The food is mediocre at best. Buffet has only 2 items. Breakfast has very limited items, not even toaster was provided. Breakfast always started late and ended early. They have around 18 rooms, the overall cleanliness of the carpet in the corridors and lift was not upto the mark. Very dirty basement area in which they have a small party area. They have very limited parking area, which is usually taken up by the staff vehicles. Bathroom ceiling kept dripping with some liquid, didn't get fixed even after complaining. Service is horrendous. Room service food gets delivered after 1.5 hours. Tea ordered but never got delivered. They never cleaned the room daily, after multiple follow-ups they clean grudgingly. Unless asked they won't change bedsheets. Unless asked they would only leave one fresh towel in a room of 2 occupancy. Won't give you daily water bottles unless you remind them. Receptionist is terrible. Won't help you at all. The entire hotel is short-staffed. Wifi worked well. Very thin walls. You can hear everything from the corridor.
