South Indian food has always been my favourite and I never miss out going to a place that serves South Indian delicacies primarily....Curry leaf serves a wide range of South Indian food along with few North Indian dishes as well ...Beverages are also there....I tried: VIP masala dosa {plain}= it was crispy and nicely made , served along with sambhar , coconut ,mint and red chilli coconut chutney...Sambhar was good in taste with apt consistency, neither too thick nor too thin.....Chutneys were average to bland in taste{watery I can say}.
2.Chilli Idli: idli with desi chinese touch...excess use of sauces overpowered the taste of idli but if you love spicy and saucy stuffs then may be you'll like it...
South Indian Thali: It carried a mini dosa, one piece idli and 2 pieces of medu vada along with sambhar and chutneys..Dosa stuffing carried over turmeric and tasted a bit bland...medu vada was nice in taste{soft and properly made} and idli also was fine...
Malabar paratha with veg korma= Malabar paratha was beautifully made where you can see the spirals , tasted nice but Veg korma seemed as if sambhar was made creamier and served as such as sambhar taste was very powering and didn't tasted like korma...You can see the picture..
Payassam: it was sweet vermicilli{ meethi sewai} in milk topped with nuts...Sugar was a bit excess...Tasted average...Taste and appearance both would have been enhanced if they would have used saffron{ widely used in making payassam } in it...
Ambience is beautiful with large seating area ...Good for group outings...Lightings are amazing and so is their furniture...Staff who was attending us was attentive {consistently coming up and filling our glasses and clearing table of the dishes we have finished} and service...
Read moreI have come to your restaurant on 26th November 2023 to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my entire family. The services were pathetic and the person who took our order for the table Mr. Manish was very rude not even bother to talk to us once after taking the order that how was food or services. Just came to table after some time once food was ready, thrown the food literally on the table after that no one come to serve the food or breads. For God sake even I have to ask multiple times for the crockery and cutlery which was not enough on my table.
I will never ever going to recommend this restaurant to my known people or family members because of the pathetic services by Manish n Team.
The Food was really good all kudos goes to the kitchen team n chef. Otherwise rest you talk about anything else nothing was upto the mark.
Please take strict action against Manish and ask him to atleast smile n take order as well as have courtesy to even take feedback from the customers and give proper services.
Hope the feedback will be taken in the positive way. I usually not a found fo writing feedbacks but this time I was very upset and forced to write this before anyone else spoils their precious day at Curry...
Read moreCurry Leaf is a South Indian delicacy chain, they also serve Veg North Indian cuisine.
What I liked: -Comfortable seating and cooling -Menu options -Location -Prompt service -Pricing
What I disliked -untrained staff
I ordered this VIP Masala Dosa which costed ₹290, for the size price seemed justifiable. It can easily be shared among 3. The plain dosa was obviously real crisp and different chutneys tasted good but that's that. Aloo filling was bland, there were big chunks of aloo. Sambar was of thin consistency, personal I didn't like the taste of it.Cutlery disaster, if you're serving something different then please serve it in an appropriate platter. I also ordered Peach Iced Tea, Red Velvet Shakes and Pav Bhaji; these were fine.
What I disliked most was their staff behaviour, we were in the middle of giving orders but got into a discussion for a bit and the waiter left the table and was busy using phone. Like seriously. 🙄 If it was that urgent he could have excused after all job's a job.
Anyway my experience wasn't that bad but then not good...
