A Disappointing and Exploitative Experience At “Hotel Cosmos” 👎 Recently I stayed with my family at “Hotel Cosmos” and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel was not worth the hefty price they charged. The environment was poorly maintained, with untidy common areas, a lack of cleanliness, and a generally uninviting atmosphere. The service quality was atrocious. The staff seemed completely disinterested in helping guests and lacked professionalism. Any requests were either ignored or fulfilled after long delays, and there was no sense of urgency or courtesy in their responses. The hotel seemed intent on looting its guests. They charged exorbitant prices for basic amenities and services, many of which were either subpar or outright unavailable. The rooms themselves were no better. They were poorly maintained, with dusty surfaces, malfunctioning amenities, and an overall sense of neglect. For the price I paid, I expected much better. What was most infuriating was the staff’s exploitative behavior. Instead of making guests feel welcome, they seemed focused on arguing with the guest and extracting as much money as possible, often Basic services were beyond thresholds , which makes me feel cheated and unwelcome. Overall, my experience at “ Hotel Cosmos” was not just disappointing—it was frustrating and exploitative. I strongly advise against staying here unless you want to be overcharged for subpar accommodations and treated poorly throughout your stay. There are far better options that offer transparency, good service, and value for money. Overall , I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay. It was a disappointing experience that left me regretting my choice. There are plenty of other options out there that prioritize cleanliness, service, and hospitality—sadly, this Hotel is not...
Read moreWe travelled to Lucknow with some work at SGPGI, and ended up in the only decent hotel around, Hotel Cosmos. Couldn't figure out the exact reason, but our booking via Yatra was cancelled and on calling up the hotel, they asked us to book via their personal website, which did cost us more. But in this whole process, had quite some interaction with the hotel's reception, before our stay, and it should be mentioned that they were not only extremely courteous n cooperative, but also very helpful with each detail. We did get complementary pick up from the airport, which was a added bonus. The hotel rooms are not as spacious as shown in the pictures, but they did try to provide all standard, basic amenities. Rooms and bathrooms are clean although our room's shower fixture wasn't working properly. The most irritating part of the stay was the multiple power cuts. Thankfully they do have a generator backup, but the lights going and coming at least 2 to 3 times an hour can get into your nerves. Also our room's television did not have good satellite reception of most of the channels, but we dint complain, since we hardly had time to watch TV. The room service is good. The biggest issue we had, was with the food. Although breakfast was complimentary, all the other items in their restaurant menu is over the top costly. The taste and quantity is ok, but the service was pathetic. It seemed there was only one person who was waiting on all the tables and although he was extremely efficient, it was too much to handle for him. The restaurant's experience was extremely disappointing and really not up to the standard of the hotel. Overall, we had a decent stay but we will recommend it to only those who want to stay around SGPGI, as the proper city of Lucknow is quite far off and travelling costs will rocket sky high if you wish...
