On my first visit to Mathura, I was unsure about the quality of accommodations beyond the typical OYO rooms and dharamshalas, especially given Mathura's reputation as a religious city. Since I was traveling for work, I needed a hotel that would allow a local woman guest to join me in my room during the day for work purposes. However, most hotels have a strict policy against local guests visiting in personal spaces, which added to my anxiety.

Like any first-time traveler, I turned to Booking.com and came across Hotel Radha Ashok. It appeared to be an expansive property situated in the heart of the city. The owner, Mr. Ashok, was incredibly helpful and responsive from the start, making my check-in smooth. I explained my situation, and he kindly accommodated my request, allowing my guest to join me during the day for work.

The property itself is serene and charming, and the service is exceptional, especially for a tier-3 city like Mathura. The limited staff provided personalized attention, making me feel valued and comfortable. Their communication was prompt, and they were eager to assist with basic needs. Having been operational for 30 years, the hotel has built a solid reputation among travelers.

What sets Hotel Radha Ashok apart is that it doesn’t fit the mold of cookie-cutter franchise hotels. Instead, it offers hospitality akin to an upscale guest house. Its unique services and the land it occupies allow it to command premium pricing. However, this could lead to an expectation mismatch for some, as the hotel operates on minimal occupancy and primarily caters to corporate clients. It doesn't function as a full-service hotel, meaning you won’t find set buffets or standard breakfast and lunch spreads. However, the staff is more than willing to prepare meals or open the swimming pool upon request.

When my train was delayed on my way back, Mr. Ashok and his team checked in on me until I reached my destination safely, which was a thoughtful gesture. My stay was truly delightful, and I hope to return more often...

We stayed at the Radha Ashok during our visit to the divine land of Mathura and Vrindavan. It was such a pleasant experience staying at Radha Ashok. Right from the managers to the staff all welcomed us like a family with warmth and love. The hotel is neat and clean, food preparations are the best and make you feel homelike, and the behaviour of the staff is so good, you would want to stay forever. Truly a home away from home which enhanced our whole spiritual experience of Mathura...
