I would give negative stars if the option was available. Terrible hotel. Very dirty. The hotel is very far from the station. The staff is rude and downright dismissive. They don’t even acknowledge your existence. We stayed there from oct 25-27. But the place was terrible. We paid for early check in as well, but they gave us a room with broken tiles, missing shower curtain, broken toilet paper stand. See photos. We went for breakfast, which was supposed to start at 7:30, but was not open till 7:50 am. The food was not enough for even 10 people. The server was extremely rude. First day they served poha which was extremely oily and raw. I actually threw up after eating their food. We requested chai 5 times before they bothered to listen to us. Also, the staff seems particularly disposed to ignoring Indians, while preferring to cater to foreigners. You can talk, request , they won’t even look at you if you are not white. If you are at the breakfast at the same time as non-colored people, be prepared to be treated as crap. Not to mention the hotel was under construction and you could hear noise all day. It was constant banging till 11 pm in the night. Our A/C was also not working. Finally, we were suffocating in the room so we asked them outright why they have given us such a room. Then they changed our room to a much better room, but their service was still horrible. We just skipped any breakfast in their hotel after that. I was took scared to try. Please avoid.||It is also hard to get transportation to and from the hotel as it is so far...
Read moreWingston Hotel looks glamourous from outside and is impressive in terms of cleaniness, ambience, Gardens and Rooms were also good. However, the hotel management is completely fraud and unprofessional. We were looking to book banquet or garden and hotel rooms for our wedding. Now, we already saw many properties in mathura before Wingston and they didn't fit in our requirements for one or the other reason. Wingston Hotel's manager showed us the property, gardens, halls and rooms himself, we even decided where will we setup our stage and mandap and buffets for both the functions and costs were also decided. Before leaving for that day, Manager asked his employee to block our dates so that hotel can't be booked online for those dates and we mutually agreed that we will come back in couple of days to decide on the menu and pay the booking amount. When we reached the hotel couple of days later, the hotel manager behaved very strangely as if we didn't have any booking and we never met him. I am not sure what was the reason behind it, was it related to costs or his own commission. But we were very much disheartened by his behaviour and obviously we were forced to go through the same exercise again of visiting other properties. He wasted our time, money and efforts. Think before you...
Read moreHere is how our experience goes - we booked 8 rooms today. We started from home with excitement but the moment we stepped into the hotel it was a complete turn-off for me and my family. We were committed at the time of booking that we will have early check-in and we didn't receive it. While the staff is not so bad but all the basic amenities are missing. For a decent hotel, where they claim to be a 3-star hotel, there were no towels, no dental kits, no shower gel, no shampoo, etc - and I can go on with the list of bad experiences. Even the televisions aren't functional in any of the rooms. They have more focus on putting extra charges for such basic amenities.
Not just us but there are other guests as well who seemed furious about the extra charges on their bill.
Be cautious and ask for all these things before making your booking(s).
and the Basic amenities are not involved in the tariff. Like warm water, tea bags and a dental kit. They are asking for extra charges. None of the television sizes is functional. When I entered the hotel the first time. A guest was shouting for an extra billed 200/- in his invoice. Please be cautious. At the same price, you'll get a better room...
