Detailed review of club Mahindra kanatal stay -
So we went to kanatal in the month of July and stayed at this resort for 2 nights and 3 days . Overview- The overall experience was really good . This resort is approximately 8-9 hr drive from New Delhi. The staff was cordial and welcoming. The check in was smooth and we were served a welcome drink too. Rooms- The rooms were well maintained along with a balcony with a beautiful view, but the bathrooms were a little disappointing as they were congested and looked old fashioned.
Facilities- The gym was not at all maintained, the machines were not working and there was no cleaning of it as well. There is no swimming pool in the resort which one can see on Google. Happy hub was a happening place with board games ,table tennis ,air hockey and many more. They arranged games and performances along with dj in the evening but they should have kept some prizes for the winners be it any free service or discount or anything. Now comes the food which was really amazing. The variety was good in breakfast as well as in dinner. There was a spa too.
Cons- But once during dinner , the finish timing was 10: 30 but at 10 only some food items were finished and were brought after 10-15 minutes when asked. Also the hotel only had one umbrella when asked as there was rain throughout our visit, so this was a little disappointing. The path of the garden was not comfortable to walk on, and there were no benches to sit in open either.
Ratings- Staff - 4/5 Cleanliness-3/5 Restaurant-3/5 Rooms -3/5 Facilities-3/5(gym,spa,happy hub)
Special mentions- Sukhdev, deepak, vartik(house keeping) brijmohan, Kapil (front desk) 3.Manish, vineet, Suraj...
Read moreWe’ve been a Club Mahindra member since 2005 and after having seen the previous beautiful properties, the stay at Club Mahindra Kanatal was totally mediocre. The property is located amidst the breathtaking view provided by the hills surrounding the property. When One compares in terms of scenic beauty, the experience is worth treasuring but when it comes to hospitality and food, the service somewhere isn’t up to the mark. If you’re from Delhi or the upper side then you won’t find a perfect dish with the exact Condiments you would have found in a typical North Indian Cuisine, therefore the best alternative is to try the regional cuisine only. I personally won’t prefer to have any Non- Veg dish here because the taste is somewhat not perfect and the chicken pieces are “Hard” to chew. The fun zone which is believed to be the place where the member can find a proper schedule for the events , the happy zone at Club Mahindra Kanatal doesn’t meet up with the expectation level. There are insects and sometimes dead insects inside the room. The brand name and the lavishness for which Club Mahindra is known doesn’t match well with the property at Kanatal. There is extra fees for participating in the normal activities at the Fun Zone which is in stark contrast with the other properties. The room was okayish and not up to the desired level. However, despite all the odds the staff was well mannered and was available at the service. In totality, it’s not worth staying and plus there is only a limited Bunch of locations to visit in...
Read moreThis will be a detailed review for club Mahindra kanatal- 1- Location 5/5 - The place is situated at the most scenic spot in kanatal and in front of the kodia forest entrance. 2- Resort 5/5 - Rooms are excellent - warm and cozy , Wi-Fi and mobile signal is full for any network operator . 3- Spa 5/5 - with reasonable rates and professional services offered - spa is a must do if you come here .
Okay now the downside - it’s very important - please have a look 1- Food 1/5 - The food is exorbitantly costly here - A Veg burger costs more than 500 and that is without 18%gst and 12% service charge . A buffet for one for one time (Breakfast or lunch or dinner) costs more than 1600 per person (taxes excluded ) . And to be very honest - food ain’t that tasty - it’s simple , plain and definitely not worth any penny . 2- Room service - 1/5 - Due to food being costly , obviously people are gonna order from outside or get their own food . The room has drawers for proper cutlery ( plate , fork , spoon , knife ) and they are empty , and when asked the same they say ‘food ke sath hi plate milegi , hotel policy ‘ and then the room service guy said ki koi ni aaj deta hu, kal se ni milegi.
If you are travelling here Please carry something to eat or there are a lot of dhabas out of the resort ( try them ) Get some of your own cutlery (maybe disposal )
There is NO KITCHENNETE in any room . Please make sure of this.
Rest assured this property is amazing and you’ll love every moment of it . Don’t miss the jungle trail in front of...
