This is my personal review based entirely on a real experience. During my 3-day stay in October 2024, I’ve tried to highlight what I saw and experienced.
Among the good hotels in Mussoorie, Dwaper is one of them. It is located on the Mall Road of Mussoorie, next to the Maharshi Valmiki Temple. There are several food stalls around the hotel, and right in front of it, there is a tourist taxi counter where you can book a car for sightseeing in Mussoorie. The best part is that the Mussoorie Mall is only a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is quite clean and well-organized, and everything is neatly arranged. The hotel staff are quite well behaved. The family suite I stayed in with my family was spacious and clean. There were no issues with room service during my stay. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was also delicious, though a bit expensive. However, there are some issues. For example, after checking in, no complimentary bottled water or tea/coffee kits were provided. Instead, the bottled water sold at the hotel was priced higher than the MRP. When I raised the issue, they were forced to charge the correct price. Additionally, during my stay, there were guests on the floor above mine who were partying, dancing, and making noise all night, disturbing my family's sleep. After I informed the reception multiple times about this disturbance, they took the necessary action to stop it, which I considered a serious issue. Another concern was with some hotel staff (especially one elderly staff member) who were extremely money-minded. They kept asking for tips for even small tasks like carrying luggage to the room. Even at the time of checkout, most of the staff gather around asking for tips. Some of them also repeatedly asked for a 5-star review during checkout, which I don’t believe reflects well on the hotel's reputation. I think the hotel management should be more cautious about this. Apart from this, everything else was good considering the room rent. If you are cautious about unnecessary extra expenses, it’s a good hotel for middle-class...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Dwaper Mussoorie and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring the city.
The amenities at the hotel were top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the restaurant and the cafe, which provided a perfect way to unwind. The restaurant served delicious meals, with a great variety to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The location of the hotel was also ideal, with easy access to popular mall road and convenient transportation options nearby. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like complimentary bottled water and personalised attention.
Overall, my stay at Dwaper exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my...

I would strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel. The experience was nothing short of terrible. The staff, especially the young guy at the reception (from Roorkee), was extremely rude and unprofessional. It felt like he thought he owned the place! I stayed calm and didn’t call the police, but his behavior was absolutely unacceptable and uncalled for. Honestly, he deserved a slap for the way he treated me, but I kept my cool.
On top of that, the rooms were not up to standard either. Definitely not worth the price, and it’s clear this hotel doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. A huge disappointment, and I won't be coming back. If they want to improve, they need to train their staff properly and focus on maintaining better rooms.
Save your money and sanity – avoid this...
