Review of Hotel Kailasha in Netala, Uttarakhand

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Hotel Kailasha in Netala on May 15th and 16th, 2024, during our Char Dham Yatra. Despite booking deluxe rooms well in advance, we were shocked to find that the hotel had double-booked our accommodations. Instead of the deluxe rooms we paid for, we were given low-quality, substandard rooms.

The rooms we were provided were a far cry from what was promised. They were poorly maintained, dirty, and lacked basic amenities. This was a huge letdown, especially considering the long and tiring journey we had undertaken. The rooms that were provided to us, i.e., Room No. 102 at the basement level had the bathroom of Room No. 103 attached to it, as you can see from the pictures attached herewith and whenever guests of Room No. 103 used the attached bathroom we were getting disturbed by it. Pathetic service.

The management's handling of the situation was equally disappointing. There was no apology or attempt to rectify the mistake. This experience significantly marred our pilgrimage, and I would not recommend Hotel Kailasha to anyone looking for reliable and comfortable accommodations in Netala.

We booked this hotel for 2 days - 15th & 16th May, 2024. Our experience is very bad with this hotel. The only good thing about this hotel is its view. The behaviour of Owner/Manager is too rude. The Manager takes double booking. For two days we have booked deluxe rooms. But when we returned from Gangotri the Manager's attacked us with his rough behaviour for not giving him the keys of our room even though our rooms were booked for two nights. So there was no point of giving him our room keys..... But he was angry with us because he was taking the advantage of rush of people of that time and wanted to make more money by double booking and after returning back from Gangotri at 11:30 p.m, he shifted us to a room of very low standard inspite of our booking of deluxe rooms. The room where he shifted us were of asbestos shade. We travelled with our parents who were senior citizens. At that night we suffered a lot due to this. Even the rooms were not cleaned. We recently stayed at this hotel during our Chardham yatra for couple of days and we were thoroughly disappointed with our experience. Despite of promising images online the hotel is not at all maintained and running with minimal staff. The rooms were not clean , Bathrooms were dirty , nani trap had bunch of hair stands , commode was dirty as well. Towels had multiple stains. Food was served on dirty tray which seem not to be cleaned for days, spoons were unclean. Even after the Hotel was running with 1 or 2 staff members , they were helpful.

Location of this hotel is good but this need serious maintenance and cleanliness before offering it to anyone as it ruins entire experience and does not satisfy basic needs to hygiene and...
