We visited Mussoorie on a peak season, so finding a budget hotel was an arduous task.Having tried different hotels and options, we got hold of Hotel Shree. Neither it has a mention in TripAdvisor nor in any other major travel sites. So we had our share of apprehensions. Having exhausted all other options, we decided to go for it. Though it is located very near to the Mall road, it is a bit daunting task to locate it. We kept on calling the hotel for directions (which they happily did). You should be an expert driver to drive down the narrow path to the hotel. The hotel boasts of parking space, but is only a small patch wide enough to park two cars. Once parked, we stepped down to the hotel. The hotel looks more like a local residence. It is flanked to its left by another nondescript hotel. An old man welcomed us. He takes care of the reception. There is a room boy (the only one and all in all) who showed us the room. The room is large with big glass windows that allow you to enjoy the beautiful mountain view. The toilet is just fine. A fresh coat of paint would have brought a welcome change to the room. The bed was large but the bedspread needed a good wash. For 1000 Rs, these looked quite ok. The only benefit of staying here is its location. It is in the middle of the main center but away from all the noise. There is no restaurant but there are room service and a menu card. We ordered paranthas and omelets for breakfast and it was not bad. If you want a highly hygienic and sanitised stay then certainly this is not the place. For a night's stay, it...
Read moreBadrish Residency is a hotel that appears to have some significant issues. Firstly, the food is not good, which is a major drawback for any hotel. A poor quality of food can ruin the entire experience of a stay. Guests would expect to have a good dining experience, and if the food is not up to the mark, it can lead to disappointment and frustration.
Additionally, the fact that no mobile network is available in the hotel can be a significant inconvenience for guests who need to stay connected to the outside world. In today's world, mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives, and not being able to use them can be frustrating, especially for business travelers who may need to make important calls or send urgent emails.
However, it's worth noting that Badrish Residency may have some redeeming qualities that are not mentioned in this review. For instance, the hotel may have a prime location, comfortable rooms, or friendly staff, which could help offset the negative aspects.
In conclusion, if you are considering a stay at Badrish Residency, it's important to be aware of the drawbacks. The hotel's poor food quality and lack of mobile network access are significant issues that could impact the overall quality of your stay. It may be worth exploring other options in the area to find a hotel that better...
Read moreA perfect and budget friendly place with great location since it's just 200 metres away from the Mussoorie library and the Mall road! I was here with my friend and we had booked one room online. We reached almost a couple of minutes post the check-in time and we immediately got the room and that too with a superb view since it was vacant which was kind of an upgrade! The room was decently clean, a bit small, the receptionist and staff were very kind and polite, the kitchen was also nice! Overall I'd say everything and everyone here was to the point, decently helpful and the bathroom was also spacious relative to the size of the room. |Would definitely recommend if you're friends travelling together, might be small for a family of 3 or 4 people with a couple of kids. Maybe you can book the bigger rooms.|And yes the photos uploaded are legit! The room is exactly like the one in photos! Happy...
